Wonderful Vet !!!! Best in the area !!! 1/7/2009

I recently moved to the area and began searching for a vet for my dog ! I "interviewed" seven vets in the area and there was no comparison !!!I chose Clocktower !!! The front desk was very friendly esp. Ann and Mickey. They greeted me with a smile and although they were very busy took the time to answer my many questions. I decided right then and there to make an appointment. My impressions were right. I came back and saw Dr. Carskaddin. I was truely impressed by his caring approach. Altough my first visit was just that, a first get to know you visit, I feel confident that the Clocktower staff will be able to meet my needs in case of an emergency. I feel very blessed to have found such a caring facility, more

Tremendous people 7/29/2008

We moved to the area about 5 months ago with our two dogs. After having lived in 3 cities in the past 2 years, we have met lots of vets. Dr. Carskaddan and Dr. Colvin were immediately heads and shoulders above any previous vets we've been to. Both were very friendly not only with me, but with the doggies as well. They never made me feel rushed in three visits so far, and never acted condescending in any way. \r \r I have never had a long wait and most times have been immediately greeted, and brought to a room within a couple minutes, and even then, only waited a few minutes before the vets came in. I found their hours and "emergency" availability to be very flexible as well.\r \r Regarding pricing and "selling" of services....This is one of most expensive areas in the country to live. Therefore, I expected their pricing to be higher than normal. I would certainly not say they are cheap, but I didn't find them unreasonable. Knowledge and care for animals has advanced a lot lately. Sadly, I am starting to think of these veterinarians as being of the same ilk as life insurance agents and morticians. They play your emotions in a way that can only be described as self serving. They charge a tremendous amount of money for their services and frankly try to guilt you into treatments for your pet. I cannot afford $167 for a check up and blood work with an additional $367 for a sedated teeth cleaning. I have two children and only one income. more

Excellent care for pets 4/5/2008

We've been taking our dogs and cat to Clocktower since we got our first dog nine years ago. The vets are all fantastic -- they provide top notch care and are so compassionate. The atmosphere in the hospital is really friendly. It's also great that they are open 7 days a week. On occasion our pets have needed a vet on the weekend, and it's nice to be able to go to our regular vet and not have to pay the higher fees at an emergency hospital. more

Good with animals...human service stinks! 12/21/2007

I loved the way they cared for my kitten's medical needs, particularly the vets--they always explained what they did, treatment options, and costs completely. The medical staff's handling of my newly adopted stray kitten was impressive. She didn't bolt, scratch, or cry even once. And I was completely certain she was cared for and I understood her needs. \r \r However, the office staff's attitude toward me left a lot to be desired! I always left feeling put down, ill-treated, and uninformed by almost all the workers at the desk! And anytime I did not choose the most expensive option for my kitten (I am not poor, but not rich either.) I was made to feel that I didn't love my pet enough--that's just wrong! And they made my kitten uncomfortable, too, by *insisting* on poking at her through door of her carrier. It led to an generally poor experience, and regretfully I am likely finding a new vet in '08. more

Clocktower - They're the best! 3/18/2006

Clocktower is an all-around great vet hospital. They're not only knowledgeable, but very nice and caring. They really take the time to talk to and explain things to the owners. Just as important, the techs are also excellent with the animals. This is one vet's office where I never worry about asking for a vet by name - they are all excellent and I've never left with any unanswered questions or worries. I've had a dr. stay hours after closing due to an emergency, and had a different dr. come in from her home in Leesburg (at 7am on Sunday) also for an emergency. You don't find that kind of service often! PROS: Multiple pet discounts. CONS: more
