I can deal with a long wait if I am communicated with. But who has time to wait over an hour each time? No explanation, no communication (with a toddler in tow?) Once was to see...

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/11/2013

I don't know who you guys are seeing. But I've been at this clinic for years, and I've NEVER waited for more than a few minutes. The only time I've ever had to wait, is if I came I as a walk-in patient. This clinic has gone out of their way to get me in when I have been ill. I am permanently disabled, and have been since the age of 40. They have been wonderful, they worked with me to help me get my disability. They take the time to explain when I need it. I never feel rushed. I've had one or two bad experiences with certain physicians, but that doesn't make the clinic bad. And the lab, they are wonderful. For someone who has a problem with getting a decent draw, they never even bruise me. They take the time to call me when I've had surgeries from other surgeons, to make sure I'm ok. Dr. Holland is my primary, and he is especially the kindest, and the most knowledgeable physician I've dealt with it. I would drive out of my way to continue to be treated by them. I was almost crippled with my hips at one point, and he helped me finally find a surgeon who would do my surgery. Being so young, it was quite difficult. \r \r People need to take control of their own health care. You need to call ahead to make your appointments, and you won't have to wait as long, and if you come in as a walk it, well, you're going to have to expect a wait. I personally don't know what is wrong with people where they expect immediate gratification, and when they don't get it, they blame everyone else. You get upset at rush hour, but don't plan around it. You go into the grocery store during the busiest time of day, then yell and complain with us because the lines are long. Well DUH, everyone goes in at a certain time when they get off work and after payday. The first 10 days of the month when food stamps come in. Go in later. \r \r You complain because the restaurants are crowded at dinnertime. Again, DUH! \r \r Please, tell us where YOU work so we can see how you handle the same situation. Because I think our doctors and the staff there are absolutely WONDERFUL! They are kind, knowledgeable, will go out of there way for you. \r \r And if you were asked to leave for berating the doctor, well I have to say, I can't much blame her. If you want to nasty and mean, when she has so much to do, why would she want to continue to deal with such a thing?\r \r You know, it's always everyone else's fault when you're complaining so much. Ask yourself why there is so much to complain about!!! more

Worst medical business on the North end, the service is lousy, the doctors are not well versed in medicine.. If you want to shorten your life, please visit Marysville Family Medicine for your initial screening. I can't say enough bad things about the care provided in this clinic. more

I just wanted to respond regarding the ""Terrible Experience and Long Wait"" that is also posted here. I looked up the doctor that the complaint was about, and apparently she has since left for an unrelated clinic in another town. I have been to Marysville Family Practice a number of times lately and maybe they've changed some things...at any rate, I'm always surprised at how short the waiting time is, even to have blood drawn as a spur-of-the-moment result of a visit. The only time waiting seems a little long is on their phone line. But I think they are working on things because now patients have e-mail access to ask questions etc. I have found the care there to be kind, helpful and fairly thorough. As with anywhere in my experience, though, I would say a patient has to keep educated and aware of their own circumstances and realize that the best medical care is always a collaboration between patient and provider. We have to do our part to think, observe, research, and communicate about our own situation, and that will always help keep our care at its best. more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE and LONG WAIT (3 times now!) 9/9/2010

I can deal with a long wait if I am communicated with. But who has time to wait over an hour each time? No explanation, no communication (with a toddler in tow?) Once was to see Andy, who as a person is a sweetheart and was great with my son. The next two times were with Dr. Escobar. I appreciated her time and knowledge, but in my second appt she was over an hour late and then MY appt was rushed. I emailed her with questions that were not addressed in the appt and she was offended that I mentioned they were not addressed and said that she gave me ""my allotted 15 minutes"" --which she absolutely did not. I was not insulting her care, I merely needed answers to the issues I came in there for. When I responded to her email, I said that her answer did not fit my situation or what was happening to me and could it be something else? This was terribly insulting to her and instead of a response or a phone call, I received a certified letter in the mail asking that me and my entire family find new doctors and we were not welcome at the Marysville Family Medicine any longer. So, basically because she did not want to see me again, my entire family cannot see their providers and we are all banished. It seems like a bad joke or something! We have never heard of such a thing and now I am left looking for a new doctor while suffering from an auto-immune disease and am very ill. What kind of ""doctors"" do that?? WOW!!! We are all deeply offended and wanted everyone out there to know that this is how they treat you if you question anything or complain about waiting for hours. Oh... and they forgot about us in a room for another hour while my 5 year old son waited for a blood draw. The lab tech left for lunch and no one told us so we just sat and waited. We were there for a simple appt. for over 2 hours. Awful!! All they needed to do was apologize and instead they sent us a letter saying not to come back. It's appalling. All of this from a clinic that claims to be ""Christian based"". more
