City Auto Body Automotive

Unfortunately I had to enlist their services b/c I was rear-ended in my brand new 2011 Toyota Highlander. DCH Toyota referred me to City Auto Body Automotive in Simi Valley. When I arrived, Karl Norheim gave me a quick quote and repair time. He promptly emailed the information to me. State Farm insurance was responsible for the damage. When I brought my car in for the repair, Karl greeted me with a warm welcome and introduced me to the in-house State Farm rep. It was great! The repair was perfect (brand new bumper) and completed right on schedule. The level of customer service was outstanding. They really made a bad situation quite pleasant. I strongly recommend them for any body repair work! more

They gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks. I began calling to check the status of my vehicle after 5 weeks, only to be told "next week", this continued for 4 WEEKS!!! When I finally had my car back after 8 and a half weeks, it had to be towed back to the shop the next day, because an indicator light on the dash came on, and my car had a violent idle. They said it "was a typical problem with your car, and just by coincedence had come up the day you got your car back." BULL. They told me my car should be ready in a day, 2 weeks later I got it back. As a result, it still has MANY problems, missing pieces, etc. They should have totaled my car, but they wanted to get paid. The insurance commission will hear about this. Go here at YOUR OWN RISK! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! more

They work closely with insurance companies and know exactly what they are looking at when you bring in your car. They are accurate with their estimates of both time and money. The staff is helpful and nice to work with. Pricing is reasonable, and they are straightforward. They have a relationship with Enterprise so they can set you up with a rental car. more

Everyone there is really nice and friendly, from the reception girls to the mechanics. Affiliated with insurance companies, they know what they are doing. They are very helpful and willing to explain (in layman’s terms) what your car needs. They are very good at their time estimates so that you are not jerked around with getting your car back. more
