Knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff!! Our kitty had been struggling with chronic GI issues. After learning about a raw cat food which only CityDog Market carried, we visited their store to stock up. The staff was extremely knowledgeable making recommendations for probiotics, enzymes and special kibble as well. Now our little girl is feeling better and back on the road to health! The store is adorable and has a great atmosphere. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone. Thanks so much! more

This a great place for anything pet related. The prices are a little high but it is like a boutique style dog store. We went today and gave our two dogs a bath after we were at the park and they were all dirty. It's great how they supply everything (shampoo,Conditioner, Leave in conditioner, ear cleaner, brushes and towels. They even have a dog vacuum style blow dryer that works wonders on long haired dogs. It is also not very expensive; $18 per dog. Will definitely be visiting CityDog Market again! more

From the second you walk in the door, you're greeted by a friendly group who want nothing more than to help you find the best possible items for your individual dog. Personal, friendly, caring, knowledgeable. And pets are welcome....I sometimes just bring in my dog to socialize with the other pups in town. You can always be sure to be greeted by Big Daddy, too, the sweetest rescue dog who belongs to the owners! A perfect place to shop!!! These people really do care!! And they have the best selection of items from food to accessories!!!!!!!!!!!! A must go to store!! more

City Dog Market is the place to go for any pet need. Whether it's meeting the needs of a special diet or outfitting a stray, they are helpful, kind and take the time to care. Your dog can enjoy the shopping experience as well. I congratulate Renee and team for doing something no one else in Atlanta was able to -- creating a friendly food market, dog wash and animal depot worthy of my pets. I made the change from Red Bandanna to City Dog Market without a qualm. Enjoy the Market yourself! more

Having lived in Brookhaven for 5 years, I had high hopes for this new store. I have three dogs including a 14 year old lab who I have had since he was born. Needless to say, he's a bit old and his back legs aren't what he/we would like them to be anymore. He had the stomach flu this weekend and DESPERATELY needed a bath. I thought, Fantastic! City Dog Market has dog baths! I arrived 25 minutes before they closed (I know I should have been there sooner but we had house guests and couldn't leave). I brought the big old man in and apologized that it was near closing and told them I would even help them clean the tub after if I could just please bathe him for 5 minutes. The girl I spoke with was nice but said she would have to ask the owner. I begged, very nicely! They are closed on Monday, so today was the day. She came back and said that they would not do it. The store was packed, so no one was leaving anytime soon and I wasn't asking them to wash him, just let me QUICKLY wash him! Unfortunately, as this did not happen, I loaded him back up and drove him home. My feeling is, is that if you can look at an old sweet dog who has been sick and needs a bath (and you offer this service), and you are able to turn him away, you lack the compassion/love for animals that should be required to own a store such as this one. I'm sure organic dog food is a booming business, but you should really love and care about animals to do what you do. I definitely did not see that today. Sadly, sadly disappointed. more

I created a profile just to comment about this place. I shopped there when it opened. The owners were nice and helpful. Something happened late last year, maybe they are getting too popular. An attitude change occurred there....maybe business was to good. But the last 2 times I was there, I felt like I was bothering them asking questions. I asked about a product I saw at another store and there quick response was ""we don't carry that garbage"". Yet every review online of this product was positive. This place is over priced and the staff is rude. I made the mistake of going there looking for a food that I thought they carried. All they could tell me is that it was not available anymore and it was not the quality they would carry in there store. Well duh, it was rated #3 on Whole Dog Journal list of dogs foods. It is very important to me that my customers always have a great experience at my store, and when I refer them to other businesses, it is only the best. City Dog Market is at the top of my list. They are completely commited to their customers and geniunely care about dogs. It would be impossible for a dog owner to walk in this store, and not feel like this is a special place. I have to agree with much of what Bowser wrote. While I did not appreciate his or her personal attacks, I too was treated rudely by their staff of several visits. You could say that I was a regular for a while, but that changed about a little over a month ago. It's not only the owners who I fould to be rude, but many of the staff as well. I did like the selection of food and treats they carried, but always found the staff to be unfriendly for the most part. I now shop at another store that is a little further from my home (in Buckhead), but the girl truly knows her stuff and always asks about my dog's likes and dislikes. She is attentive and also remembers in only 6 or 7 weeks of shopping there what products I like to buy and her recommendations have been right on! I do believe that the owners and the staff of City Dog Market need to learn to LISTEN to their customers and learn what they and their pets need and like. First of all I usually NEVER give bad reviews but felt I needed to do so after the horrible service I received at CDM. The two butchy bitchy women who run and own the place should learn to give customers respect. The fact is that they know NOTHING about proper pet nutrition. Maybe they should invest some time and money in reading about it. The advice they gave me was all wrong and they advice I heard them give others was wrong as well. I've been involved with and have studied pet nutrition for well over 10 years now and these butchy girls need to learn about it NOW before they continue to give out bad advice that in the end will HARM dogs (and cats). They're opinionated, full of themselves, and what's funny is...they have no right to be...they truly are CLUELESS when it comes to nutrition. perhaps one can tell since it's clear they can't even take care of themselves. That speaks volumes in their knowledge abut nutrition in my book. If they don't care about themselves or respect their own bodies...why trust what they tell you about feeding your pet. They treated my dog with no respect and to be honest...I could care less about that. One would think that they would at least pat a dog standing next to them on the head and get this (gasp!)...give them a treat! The prices are not competitive at all. In fact they're VERY high. They will also not match prices. So do yourself a favor...if there is a food you are feeding and you're happy with...go somewhere else to buy it. I'd sooner shop 100 miles away before going back into their store. BTW: It's always a little suspicious to me when I look at reviews and then I see a bunch of positive ones all written within a few days...it usually means the owners wrote their own reviews or had some friends write some. Quite telling when it's the ONLY review the person wrote... (just see the reviews from late August and September...these people ONLY reviewed CDM...I created my profile JUST to tell about my bad experience so others should know my experience there (from multiple visits)... I love this store! Patsy and Renee are so nice and their staff is awesome! My kitties love all of their treats and best of all I don't have to buy their food at the vet anymore! That stuff is so expensive and not nearly as healthy! They also have really great dog stuff and a self serve dog wash! I don't need it with my kitties but I still think it is just fabulous! I have never interacted with a group of people so fully motivated to cater to my pets needs. Each staff member gave me such a warm greeting when I came in and they really took the time to figure out what would be perfect for my little Tinkerbell. Everyone was so educated and knew exactly what to recommend! Needless to say, I was definitely impressed with my visit to City Dog Market and I will definitely be returning! Patsy and Renee are two of the kindest, most wonderful people I have ever met and their love of our four legged family members is evident the minute you walk through the door. The wide variety of collars, halters, leashes, foods, beds, toys, treats, and the majority of everything being natural, just makes it a pleasure to shop here. Our babies love to go and pick out their own treats and a lot of the bins are easily accessible so they can just help themselves. :) The wonderful staff is always ready to offer advice and help you pick out just the right food, offer free samples, etc. I honestly could not imagine, nor want to, shop anywhere else when it comes to health and well being of our babies. Patsy and Renee are the best. Always helpful, always happy. When you walk into their store, they are genuinely happy to see you and your pet, they are knowledgelable about the products they carry, they are involved with animal rescue and are very generous in helping animals in need. We are thrilled to have them in the Brookhaven area as they not only carry premium foods, they also have adorable collars, dog accessories, dog wash bays and tons of toys.
