wouldn't be anywhere else 7/9/2011

After spending ten years moving my horses from barn to barn in the Louisville area I'd almost given up hope of finding someplace where I felt comfortable and welcome, where my horses were properly cared for and where I knew my horses would be safe. I finally found that perfect home for my horses at Circle Bar C. I've been boarding there for five years now and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Jason and Ashley treat me like family and treat my horses as if they were their own. The atmosphere is laid back and perfect for adult riders who want to spend quality time with their horses. more

Fantastic place for horse and rider 7/8/2011

I've been at CBCR for a little over a year now. The facility is amazing and has everything a horse and rider could ever want. The owners, Jason and Ashley, have been more than kind, helpful and supportive. My horse isn't the easiest to get along with, but a month under Jason's care and training, I can ride him anywhere! Not only do they take great care of the horses and the facility, they also take great care of their boarders. They really CARE if you are having a great experience and if you are not, they will do anything in their power to help you. I've experienced nothing but support at Circle Bar C Ranch and would recommend the Ranch to anyone who is truly a horse lover. more

Great barn, great people, happy horses 6/28/2009

Our horses have been at CBC for a year now, and we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The barn is clean, the stalls are roomy, the grain/hay is first quality, and the owners are the best! I had just gotten back into riding after many, many years and my husband hadn't ridden. Thanks to the care and support from Jason and Ashley, we are now riding and enjoying the miles of beautiful trails. Our horses are happy and healthy, thanks to the care from the staff at CBC and their insistence on using only the very best vets, equine dentists, farriers, etc. I never worry about the well-being of my boys because I know they are being looked after, even when I can't be there. The rest of the boarders are great and we have made many friends there. We would recommend CBC to anyone who wants outstanding care for their horses and a pleasant place to spend time with great people. Pros: Great care for my horses more

New Riders Heaven 6/12/2009

The main reason that I board my horse at Cicle Bar C Ranch is the level of care and concern provided by Jason and the staff. My horse is a rescue. When I began to board him with Jason he needed much more that a roof over his head. He was underweight, had sores on his face and hadn't been handled for 2 years. He was the product of neglect.Over the next year I watched as Jason ""asked"" this horse to trust people agian and nurse him back to health. He is now a healthy and happy horse.\r I , along with my 7 year old son, learned to ride for the first time at Circle Bar C. Jason and his staff took us from the basics of how to approach a horse all the way to our 1st trail ride.\r My horse has a full board position at Cicle Bar C. I couldn't be happier with our level of care. Pros: Great Care, Barn, Staff Cons: 25 minutes from Louisville more

Left this barn 6/9/2009

I was truly taken advantage of at this place. While horses are well taken care of, I would never send my horse here for training or go here for lessons. They are not qualified, and will cowboy your horse around. I have watched horses get trained here over and over and they have never improved. The owner rides without a goal, and does not know how to train a horse using any tactic other than fear. I have seen lessons given by them and 90% of what is taught is hot air that doesnt work. I left this barn for these reasons. Pros: Nice barn Cons: Cost more

Circle Bar C Review 6/9/2009

Of the several months that I had my horses at this barn the owner took advantage of me over and over again. He has over charged me on several occasions and I had to correct him and has called me several times threatening me, he has even made inappropriate sexual comments. Do not enter into any type of contract with the owner of this barn, he will take advantage of you, and has a very poor past. I do not respect the owner as a businessman or as a horse trainer. Everything he does is smoke and mirrors and your horses get no positive training results. If you are going to spend the money drive down the road and find some better barns that are drama free and honest, and that actually have national titles to back their training. There are several other barns in the lespirt area that offer training and have national titles to support their training. GO TO THESE BARNS!!!!! The only thing Circle Bar C has on any barns in Lesprit is pasture, and that is because they are on the edge of lesprit, rather than in the middle. Pros: Tons of pasture Cons: Packed rock arena not the best for barrels more

Wont go back 6/9/2009

I have great memories about this place from when I first started boarding there. As I learned more at school and from lessons at other barns I grew to realize that this place wasn't at all what it was cracked up to be. Let my lesson be a lesson to you. Pros: Great barn, wonderful staff, amazing customers Cons: It is somewhat spread out more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR HORSE HERE! 10/16/2008

The owner of this farm is a fraud, he is not a horse trainer, he is nothing but a rodeo rider. Instead of breaking the horse, he basically taught him to be a bucking bronco. He instilled fear and mistrust into a once gentle horse. He may now not be able to ever be ridden, the effects of the abuse he endured at this farm may be irreversible. Its a shame, he is a nice show bred stallion, who had tons of potential for the show ring, which those dreams may never come true because of this so called horse trainer. The horse was also underweight, sick, with an infected injury on his back, please don't learn the hard way as I have. Pros: Nice Facility Cons: Staff is not trustworthy more

Can't be trusted 10/12/2008

My daughter's horse was there for 2 mos. to be broken to ride by the owner at a cost of $650/mo. My daughter was not allowed to watch the training process. After 2 mos. the horse had lost 150#; it was of normal weight when he went there. He was not broke at all, totally the opposite. He acted like a wild mustang after the owner had reported how wonderful the horse had been doing, what progress he had made. He wouldn't even keep a saddle on, much less a rider. The owner took the money and ran. He took no responsibility and did not hold himself accountable. He didn't even show up for an appointment with another trainer who was going to train him to show. He wouldn't return phone calls. The other trainer said this horse is now ruined for any other attempt at training; he's been programmed to resist everything.\r I highly suggest you stay away from this barn for boarding, training, lessons, or whatever. My daughter was misled, taken advantage of, and robbed of $1300. Pros: Nice barn Cons: Staff can't be trusted, no return for your money more
