Worst

I went to Cinelli's last night for the first time. The food was good but the service was quite lacking. People who were seated after us already had their dinner before our party...

Great Wine Selection 11/5/2006

Last Friday, I met my girlfriends from work at Cinellis to have a glass of wine. The restaurant had a great wine selection. We had such a great time. Next week, we are all meeting after work at Cinellis to have dinner and wine because the food looked awesome. Pros: Great Wine Selection more

friendly with wonderful food 11/1/2006

I just moved here from New York and was looking for an upscale Italian restaurant, and couldn't find one anywhere. Then my friend at work suggested I try Cinelli's. I went and loved the food, especially the baked ziti, which is to die for. The people were all friendly and open, especially a man named Alex, I believe he was the manager. I'm so grateful to find quality food in town, a real pizzaria, to take a break from chain fast-food pizza places. I suggest this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious Italian foods. My daughter absolutely loved the sauted vegetable and potatoes as well! Pros: friendly service more

The service was FANTASTIC, and the food was even better! 11/1/2006

I was recently married, and decided to hold my rehearsal dinner at Cinelli's, because it has always been one of my favorites, and I wanted to share it with my friends and family. Most of my guest were from out of town, some even from New York, and even they thought the pizza was outstanding! I'm so glad I picked Cinellis, not only because of the wonderful, authentic Italian cuisine, but also the welcoming atmosphere. My husband and I plan to come back again for our anniversary! I recommend it for anyone looking for a great meal and friendly service. Pros: Pasta dishes, and friendly staff Cons: parking was a bit difficult more

Best Italian!! 10/23/2006

In a recent visit to Duke Hospital for a procedure. I decided to grab some lunch with my sister who was accompanying me. We saw Ben and Jerrys and decided to grab lunch and then some icecream. Cinellis pizzeria was right next door. How convenient! I love Italian. We decided to give it a try. Their menu was immense. I had a real hard time deciding but we finally got the fried calamari which the waitress recommended. It was awesome! Ive had Calamari alot of other places but theirs was definitlely the best!! My sister had never tried it. So I was a little nervous that she wouldn't like it. You know how the calamari thing goes. But she loved it also. The service was wonderful. And the whole restaurant had a very homely feel . I would love to bring my family to try it one day. You can't find good authentic Italian everywhere. What a pleasant surprise!! more

Who knew pizza could be so good? 10/23/2006

My daughter and I were in Durham recently and stopped by Cinellis Pizza to grab a hot piece! We were just going to run in and grab a few slices to go. But we decided we were in no rush and had a seat on their patio. It was a gorgeous day. The waiter came out promptly to take our drink order. I decided to get a glass of wine. It felt right with the atmosphere. We asked the waiter a few questions, and he was very polite and knowledgeable. We decided to try the Grandma pizza. It sounded fabulous!! And was!! We ended up ordering dessert and I had another glass of wine. So what started out as a quick bite to eat. Ended up being a very memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, place to relax and enjoy good food. more

grandma pizza awesome but what's up with the service? 9/23/2006

My family and I have dined at this location numerous times especially on saturday, but last night being the most bizarre, disapointing and derogatory toward women especially coming from a very kind and knowledgeable waiter...you see my daughter speaks very well spanish, it's actually her major, because our waiter has no idea that customers might understand spanish...he was making sexually charged jokes little bit too loud. More, the same waiter was groping the female staff...what is wrong with this people? I can give anyone the benefit of the doubt but even thought the food is great this is more than I ask for.I can spend my money elsewhere for a more respectful and agreeable experience Pros: Fast pace service, price, knowledgeable staff Cons: Can be too loud, unprofessional conduct among waiters more

Best pizza we've found, service is confused 9/7/2006

Cinelli's knows how to make food. We were skeptical after they took a long time, messed up our order, redid it, and forgot to bring our drink, but when we got the pizza we knew we'd come back. It's classic thin-crust brick-oven pizza with fresh ingredients, done just right. Not easy to find in the area and reasonably priced for the high quality. Pros: Great food, don't miss it! Cons: Service is well meaning, but a bit dizzy and bewildered more

Call Randy's Instead 3/24/2006

I recently ordered a pizza from Cinelli's on Broad Street for delivery. After about 1 hour and 15 minutes after placing the order, I got a call from the general manager. He wanted to be sure I was going to tip the driver...otherwise he wouldn't deliver the pizza. I couldn't believe his audacity! There are plenty of FRIENDLY restaruants in the area. No need to waste business on these people. Cons: management, Promptness of service more

not impressed 8/19/2005

After dining at Cinelli's I can now understand why the only positive review on this board is by someone with the last name Cinelli. There was nothing outstanding about the food or service, I may not be Italian myself but I certainly know a good dining experience and this was not. more

Great Pizza, but very pricey 7/25/2005

The Grandma's pizza is outstanding... but too pricey to return frequently. The pasta dishes are also quite pricey and who in their right mind would pay $5.50 for a bowl of lettuce and tomatoe for a house salad. I also must say they're out of their mind to charge so much for pizza toppings. Pros: pizza tase Cons: pizza price, toppings overpriced, service OK at best more

Best in the area! 5/20/2004

In my opinion the best pizza in the triangle. Well worth driving from Raleigh or Chapel Hill to get. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. These guys really know how to make pizza! Pros: Delicious, Fast service, Fresh ingredients more

Great for groups 7/21/2003

We had a very, very large group - thirty+ people. The staff was incredibly accomodating and even willing to provide separate checks. We had to be someplace at a specific time, and the staff worked very hard to serve us well and have us out at the specified time. They were immensely courteous, and I thought the food was quite tasty as well. Pros: Groups, Service, Good food Cons: lacking atmosphere more

First and Last Visit 5/29/2003

I went to Cinelli's last night for the first time. The food was good but the service was quite lacking. People who were seated after us already had their dinner before our party of three finally got bread after asking for it twice. Two of the three meals were served, and it was another 15 min. before the third meal was served (after flagging down the waiter to find out where it was). I'm not normally picky about service, but this was particularly bad. The situation could have been rectified by an apology, but none was offered. Pros: FOOD Cons: SERVICE more
