I was looking for a dentist and looked online. I read a lot of great reviews and decided to make an appointment...my appointment did not disappoint! It was a relaxed atmosphere and the hygienist and Dr. Shin were really knowledgable and obviously well educated. I had to have a braces retainer made, and they had it ready the next day! Nothing hurt and all the staff seemed really friendly - I really like the fact that Dr. Shin genuinely likes being a dentist. more

Dr. Shin is a perfectionist - the dental work she did was amazing and beautiful. I get comments about it all the time, and her office even got some of the cosmetic procedures covered for me! She made sure I was comfortable and numb and always asked if i was okay. While dentist visits are never fun, she made it easy. Thanks Dr. Shin! more

I went to Dr. Shins office and the hygienist was really gentle and friendly, and Dr. Shin is a great dentist - very competent and explained everything really thoroughly. VERY different from the old dentist I grew up with Virginia. Highly recommended!! more

I am professional singer and I needed to give myself an dental makeover. I was very apprehensive that I would get horse teeth and would ruin the way I sing. I finally did it and I got my professional head shots done.....and I look and feel great. Dr Shin transformed me from having a goofy crooked grin to a perfect smile. I got 5 laminates done and 1 root canal which was totally painless! I am moving to Atlanta, but will continue to come to the dentist every six months in new york. my entire family (5 of us including myself) have been seeing dr. shin for at least 5 years. i have terrible teeth and now have healthy chompers and go for my cleanings faithfully every 3 months - whether insurance pays for them or not. Pros: beautiful clean office Cons: none more

this is the first time i have seen a dentist since i graduated from college! this was a great experience and my new years resolution is to come for my dental checkups 2x a year, instead of once every 10 years...thanks dr. shin and staff Pros: not scary more

just got my teeth zoomed (whitening procedure) and they look terrific. a little sensitive but it is worth it....thanks! Pros: really white teeth! Cons: can't drink coffee for 24 hours more

this is a beautiful office on the upper west side, and i had six laminates put on my front teeth and i am so happy with dr. shin's work. i can't stop looking in the mirror now - plus no pain whatsoever. Pros: i have beautiful teeth more

I’ve been going to Dr. Shin’s office for all my dental work for almost 5 years. I have found her staff courteous, professional, and friendly. They have always been upfront and open about billing and costs of any procedures, and have even offered to help find ways to make payments easier for me if needed. Dr. Shin has a deft hand and gentle touch when working on my teeth. As a patient who doesn’t like to go to see a dentist (as most of us are) I was put at ease by her gentle nature and friendliness. Since choosing her as my dentist I have gone for regular cleanings, whitenings as well as 4 veneers on my front upper teeth. Everywhere I go now people ask me where I get my dental work done and I get compliments on my teeth. The office is clean and new - which is refreshing to say the least when talking about dental offices in New York. Dr. Shin truly cares about the quality of her work and the satisfaction of her patients. I couldn’t recommend becoming one her patients more. Pros: My teeth look great! more

i have been scared of going to the dentist for years. She has transformed me and my smile and I love going there! I moved to New Jersey but i still come to see her for checkups every 3 months! Pros: kind, gentle, compassionate Cons: NONE!! more
