I visited the salon 2 weeks ago and my appointment was with Michelle. I had to write in and say i love my haircut! I have received so many compliments and I just love the way I look. She really listened to what I wanted and I just love the results! I also thought the staff was very friendly and I only had to wait 5 minutes. Great experience. I will be back! Great Hair Color 6/25/2008

I recently had my first vist at Christiaan Salon. From the moment I walked in I loved it! I was greeted by the receptionist when I checked in, served a cup of tea, and my stylist, Sacha, was right on time. I was nervous about having my hair colored some where new, but she talked to me for quite a while about my options. She did a fabulous job with the color and gave me a great cut! I am new to the Providence area and used this sight for recommendations. Thank you city search! I saw Tasha for hair removal and I loved the nufree hair removal system. It was less painful than waxing and I wasn't as red. The over all experience at Christiaan's was great. I was greeted at the desk with a warm smile and freiendly staff. I can't wait to return! Look No Further for Incredibly Good-Looking Hair! 5/2/2008

I've been having my hair cut and colored at Christiaan since 1995 and I have never had a less than fantastic experience. The owners, Bill and Sherri, and the various stylists are friendly, very well trained, and responsive to your wants and needs. If you want to try something ""new"" they'll give you an honest opinion and craft a look that fits your hair, complexion, and lifestyle. In 13 years I've had long hair, dark hair, short hair, light hair, and a bunch of things in-between - and each look was perfect for me at that particular stage in my life. BEST permanent hair straightening: Bio-Ionic Retexturizing System with SHANNON 4/17/2008

I first had by hair permanently straightened using the Bio-Ionic Retexturizing System back in October 2007 and I just had it done again (6 months later) and the results were absolutely amazing both times. I absolutely love my straight hair. I had wanted to do it for a while, but couldn't find the right place/stylist/product. Then, I found Shannon at Christiaan who uses the Bio-Ionic system. I met with Shannon for a consultation. She was beyond helpful in explaining every single step of the process in full detail. I decided to go through with it the following week. She did a PERFECT job. My hair looks incredible. Not only does she use the BEST product, but she is the BEST at the procedure. My hair is smoother, softer, and shinier than ever. Shannon takes as much time as she needs to make my hair perfect. And everyone at Christiaan is just so welcoming and sweet. I feel right at home when I'm there. I look forward to continuing the straightening process with Shannon and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone interested in permanently straightening their hair. Best Salon ""pampering"" services in New England 3/16/2008

I have been visiting Christiaan for over 5 years on a weekly basis and have experienced a truly wonderful pampering! I have had my hair styled and cut by Sheri & Carol and have never received more personal compliments. Olga is amazing as she gives the best pedicure & manicure that you will ever have. They take personal pride in each service that is performed. You become a member of ""their family"" as they know all of your particular ""nuances"". I have two daughters and have introduced both to the salon services. They are both having their hair and nails done at Christiaan and have recommended their friends. My daughters love the staff and feel that they approach personal care with new and refreshed ideas. It is a delightful experience visiting Christaan that all should try! Great Experience at Christiaan's! 3/12/2008

I was referred to Christiaan?s salon by a friend. I?m happy to say, it has become my number one place to go because of the welcoming staff and exceptional salon services. The nail services are outstanding. Christiaan?s provides luxurious spa pedicures that include good exfoliation, masks, and a nice massage - all in a cozy, comfy atmosphere. My pedicures are one of the only times in my stressful life I get to relax. I strongly recommend trying it. Fantastic make over 9/27/2007

Upon entering Chrisiaan salon, I felt a warm careing atmosphere. The spa pedicure was so luxurious, the highlighting was perfect for my skin tone. I loved my new haircut and got great advice on how to take care of it, it is really easy. The eye brow sculpting and makeup application, it all took years off. My boyfriend fell in love all over again!!!!!!!! more

I loved her hair and we had the same hair so I got the same smart looking haircut and I?m going back next week to get the blonde hilights that she has. Friendliest high quality salon and day spa 9/7/2007

I love Christiaan?s. So warm and cozy and up with the latest of everything. They listen to me and want me to be happy and attractive. They do just about everything there. Awful Waxing Services 1/11/2007

I cannot speak to any of their other services, but waxing services are AWFUL. I have had quite a few bikini waxes, but this is the first one that left me with my entire bikini area in scabs. It was unbearably painful. The waxer had no clue what she was doing. She took forever, the wax was far too hot and she went over the same area repeatedly. As I said, I have had many bikini waxes, and I have never had a waxer need to go over the same area 3-4 times. I would not recommend that my worst enemy go here for a bikini wax. On top of everything, she was not very professional. She stood in the room with me while I undressed and it was rather uncomfortable. I would not recommend Christiaan for their waxing services, but perhaps their other services are better. more

most natural-looking highlights ever! 10/24/2006

I've never write reviews like this. However, I had to say how happy I am with the blonde highlights that Laura recently gave me. I've lived in New York and Boston, and been to many salons in both cities. No person has ever been so meticulous and kind in picking the perfect blend of highlights and lowlights for my hair, nor in taking the time to weave them in so carefully. Additionally, there was no pressure at all to do anything that I did not want. If anything, I asked for shampoo recs, not the other way around. Thank you! I definitely recommend Christiaan's and would travel miles just to go to Laura again. The combination of friendly service and price cannot be surpassed! more

After a year of searching for a salon I like, I finally found it. I loved this place because she took the time to go over what I was looking for and the end result really proved to be exceed my expectations. I walked out of there feeling very exicted to go back to try some of the new techiques in color that she had learned in a recent class. I HIGHLY recommend Christiaan Salon to anyone and everyone. I wanted a great new haircut for the spring and low lights. I got it at Christiaans. Eboney listened to what I wanted, showed me pictures and hair strand samples, took a lot of time to make sure I got just what I wanted. I couldnt be more pleased. I finally found someone who listened to me and wasnt intimidating. She had geraniums growing on her window sill, a big round window that overlooks Providence. Providence's Best kept Secret 1/10/2006

There are a few personal and intimate relationships a woman forms in her life that would rate as important. A life partner, a physician and of course a hair stylist. When I moved to Providence I was faced with the task of finding a new stylist and salon. By virtue of a serendipitous internet search I found Christiaans Spa. From the beginning the talented staff at Christiaans Day Spa listened to what my needs were and matched me with a terrific is stylist, who is not only up-to-date in the current trends, she is always willing to go that extra mile to make each salon experience special. Great Salon! 7/25/2005

I've been a faithful Christiaan's client since I moved to Providence from NYC 7 years ago. The staff is very experienced and it's a very relaxed environment. My hair stylist Carol is European trained and works to get the best look for me. Shala's facials are customized for my skin needs and there is no pressue to purchase products. Olga's nail care keeps me looking polished! I also enjoy talking to her, but I haven't yet learned any Russian!! I think you would be happy with any of the professionals working there as it is a very well run salon. more

Excelent fashionable salon, not snobby 5/26/2005

I wanted a new look but not way out and crazy. The stylist had goes to a lot of classes, she showed me lots of picture. She took a lot of time showing me how to take care of my new style with the right products and finishing techniques. I felt great and looked even better.
