Best Mexican in town 10/6/2006

After being gone 10 years, Chile Verde is a welcome sight now that I've moved back to Columbus. Everytime I was back in town I made it a point to go.. They have stayed true to their roots and have the best mexican food (dare I say it) I've ever had. I like spicy food, and they balance ""hot"" with true flavor- a truely euphoric taste in my opinion. When I want GOOD mexican - this is where I go. 8/11/2006

I love this place for mexican food. The quality is outstanding. The price is a tiny bit above average, but worth every penny. Its usually pretty busy and you usually have to wait a little bit for a table, but again, its worth it. I do have two little kids though and because of the wait - I don't take them there. We only go here without them. Pros: Fanatstic food. Cons: Really small store, have to wait for table always. more

Awesome!! 5/25/2006

We have been going to Chile Verde's for over fifteen years! It is by far the best Mexican restaurant in town!! The food is very Southwestern and authentic. The green sauce is very spicy without too much heat that you loose the flavor. There are some very original menu items that have become our favorite. The best place for very consistant food preparation and friendly service!! more

Average food. 3/17/2006

Having read the reviews, I was expecting something really excellent. What we got was really average. I loved everything about this place except the food. Sure, the portions were huge but everything tasted the same. The meat in my chimichanga was great quality but really bland and boring. I got fed up with it quickly, and never did eat the half I took home. The accompanying rice was undercooked, and I discovered I don't much like pinto beans. The margaritas, however, were awesome. Our server was really friendly and attentive, and I loved the decor and atmosphere, but we'll be sticking with our regular Mexican restaurant. Best Mexican in Columbus 3/2/2006

Chile Verde is the mexican restaurant in Columbus by far. I have tried almost everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. Their dishes are really flavorful and you if you like spicy food you'll love this restaurant. more

True Southwestern and the taste to back it up. 5/16/2005

BBQ Fajita Burrito and the Margaritas are incredible. Everything is made from scratch and it shows in the presentation and bold taste. There is no other Mexican/Southwestern restaurant that my wife and I would rather go to. Pros: Cozy , unique Cons: almost too small more

Southwestern Cuisine 10/29/2004

This is authentic Southwestern Cuisine. A real find, the food is the best in Columbus! The sevice is prompt, professional, and friendly. I have been there in large groups, and for romantic dates, and it is perfect for both. I have been to all the mexican restaurants in Columbus, and none can top this one. (Hint to Low Carb Diners: They have a secret entry for you and a low carb margarita; you just have to ask). more

I have been a customer for many years and they are so much better than the alleged Mexican cuisine restuarants. This is Mexican. If you have been to Mexico, this is close. There's no competition 10/21/2002

I've been to Chile Verde many times and it's always the same, perfect. Even carry-out is good which is a hard thing for Mexican restaurants. It's small but very comfortable. Try the Blue-Corn Enchalata's(sp?) more
