The Children's Center at Iberia Medical Center - Urgent Care Services
For years families have been coming to The Children's Center when their kids need prompt care for minor medical problems. We still offer the same special care that kids need for things like unexpected illnesses and injuries. We also provide primary and ongoing pediatric care through The Children's Practice.
As always, The Children's Center is open every day from 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight for your minor urgent care needs. Read on to learn more about what The Children's Practice has to offer you and your little ones.
The Children's Wing at Iberia Medical Center provides level one service to pediatric patients from newborns through adolescence. Our multidisciplinary team includes skilled professionals in the areas of respiratory, dietary, laboratory, radiology, social services, case management, nursing and physicians. Together, our team provides children with specialized, individual care designed to get them healthy and back home as soon as possible.
In addition to urgent care services, we offer KIDMED screens provided by a Registered Nurse to Medicaid eligible recipients who qualify. This service provides well-child checkups and immunizations. KIDMED hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm by appointment only. This service is open to Medicaid eligible children only.
We provide immunizations for any child from birth to age 18 through our Shots-For-Tots clinic. This is held one Saturday morning each month. Your child can receive all vaccines at no cost. There is a $10.00 administration fee for each child no matter how many immunizations the child receives. This service is open to all children in the required age group regardless of insurance status.
