I haven't actually taken classes here. But I did go their school back at the beginning of the year.
They held a big festival with demonstrations (both of students from the school, as well as other schools!) during Chinese New Year, and since I'm a big kung fu fan, I decided to check it out.
The interior of the school is super cool. It has all the trappings of a nice Hong Kong style kwoon.
The teacher, Gary, seemed super nice. He was definitely good at what he does, and so are his students. The fact that this was HIS school and HIS party - and yet he had invited OTHER schools to demo there too - kinda bowled me over (in a good way)!
The demonstrations were all good! They teach a version of Hung Gar (tiger/crane) here from Taiwan.
It's kinda weird though...Even though both I and my boyfriend at the time loved the place & demos - neither of us ended up training there; he ended up studying Tai Chi at one of the schools demoing there, and I met my future kung fu teacher there as well!
