My very last service experience was pretty much the same-old, same-old: Wisiting with my friends at Chico VW while the technicians quickly and efficently changed my oil and did their 34-point inspection. However, I had a more unusual experience on the morning of Nov. 17th 2010. I had to be in court that morning: and my wife and I were friving from Chico to San Diego as soon after noon as possible. When I started my Jetta early in the morning, it indicated that it was out of coolant. A quick look indicated I was, indeed out of coolant. At 7:50 a.m. I called Chico VW and talked to Guy, who said "bring it in." I dropped off the Jetta a half-hour later and made it to Oroville in time for a scheduled training. Willie Blakely, whom I have known and trusted for many years, took it upon himself to diagnose and fix my car in the three hours I was gone. Upon my return to Chico VW, I was able to literally take my car and shortly thereafter drive directly to San Diego. It doesn't get any better that that. more

Joel (my saleperson) was great. This was the 2nd time I had talked to him about purchasing a car...he was friendly and informative, and definitely not pushy. Pleasant transaction. more

The sales person, Joel, was very friendly and answered all questions asked. When we debated about the color, he showed another model with a color that we liked more and said that particular color could be ordered and vehicle delivered in a short time, which it was. Joel was very courteous and offered coffee while we waited for paperwork to be completed. Very satisfied with service at Chico VW. Look forward to continued dealing with Chico VW. more

It is always a pleasure to have Willie as my service consultant--he goes the extra mile. As a VW family, I had hoped to attach a picture of my daughter's 1999 beetle laden with 2 Christmas trees on the roof rack. Not much that a VW can't do!! Can't seem to paste the links...alas.. more

My car suddenly over heated during a down poor at 2:45pm. I was told very nicely to have the car towed: however I refused and drove to the dealer ship. I was taking my staff out for the afternoon and had a party that night! I was in and out with a rental car in just under ten minutes. I arrived before my staff! The next morning a received a call at 9AM letting me know my car was ready! I love my dealership! more

Felt very VIP when Guy drove me back to home within minutes of dropping my car off. Thank-you! I usually feel bad asking, but I was made to feel very comfortable. Also, Willie does an excellent job and I always know my car is getting the best service. My husband and I always feel we are getting treated fairly. more

As always, VW of Chico is a great business partner. I narrowed my vehicle choice to two: VW and Toyota. I selected VW in part because I knew the service--with my bug--was excellent. Willie is definitely a keeper! more

Great experience! I was dreading buying a new car and had done quite a bit of research. Though I bought a Jetta I had not considered the TDi. After driving it I immediately liked it. Kudos to Jack Quinn and I think the other gentleman who helped me was Bill. I will tell all my friends about Chico VW and they will be my first stop when I need a new car! more

Horrible dealership. Never buy from these people. They lied to me and when called on it have refused to even service the new 2010 Jetta I leased there. I personally know another 5 people that also had awful experiences with Chico VW as follows: Charles was in the market for a van, liked the VW, after a week of hassles with Chico VW he bought his new 2010 VW in Sacramento. Charles lives less than 6 blocks from Chico VW. The sales staff at Chico VW took 2 weeks to respond to Lily. She bought a new 2010 Volvo at another dealership in town. Jessies wife bought a used Jetta, brought it in for squeaky brakes to Chico VW and was told that along with pads that it needed rotors. Jessie is a master mechanic and brought in the car in person. Chico VW backed away from its demand for new rotors. Jessie and his wife now always have their car serviced elsewhere. Tom owns a VW van, had ignition trouble. Chico VW could not accurately diagnose the problem but presented Tom with a bill for $980. Tom went elsewhere and had his problem dealt with quickly and efficiently fixed for less than $100. He never goes to Chico VW for service or parts. Christie gave me a curious look when at first I was happy about my new VW from Chico VW. Later she asked Are you still happy with them? She tells me that she would never do business with them because of her own and others experiences. There are in fact a whole list of other people that now do business elsewhere like Roseville.
