I was looking up the telephone number for my vet since I was already online and was absolutely stunned by the reveiws left for him.My animal companion has been in the care of Dr.Silver for 7 years now.He and his staff have been nothing short of professional and educational. After reading two of the reveiws (same date) it seems to me that someone's feelings were hurt,I read several inconsistencies in their feedback which leads me to believe a malicous attempt to dis-credit Dr.Silver is ongoing.Opinions are subjective. Reviews are out of character for this Vet.The medical profession can be a thankless job at times.As long as my animal companion is happy and well groomed I'm happy.Animals have the advantage of wiggling their tails and not their tongues.A lesson for us all!! more

A wonderful vet practice: 10/5/2010

Dr. Silver is a great vet and can take care of all pets, the dog, the cat, and the exotics too (we have a macaw and a cockatiel). The coral reef fish in the waiting room and the macaw in the clinic keep my daughter interested and we have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes. Lots of extra care, phone calls with lab results, all in all a wonderful practice. more

We wouldn't want to take our dog anwyhere else but here 9/28/2010

We have been going to Dr. Silver for several years now and think he and his staff are wonderful. We had been to a few different vets with our dog who was having chronic skin problems and test after test (which were probably unnecessary) solved nothing. We were referred to Dr. Silver by another happy client and after his first treatment our dog responded. He is very thorough without running up large bills and gives the owner options for treatment, rather than dictating them. His staff is very pleasant and competent and his receptionist even recognizes my voice when I call! It is a very personal practice and you don't feel lost in the shuffle like many big practices. We wouldn't take our dog anywhere else! more

Friendly and Professional: 9/23/2010

My cat is never happy about going to the vet, but the staff at Chevy Chase kept her calm and we were able to get through the visit without any hissing. I am sad that I'll be leaving the area and won't be able to continue with them. more

Always a wonderful experience. Staff is kind and great with pets. Everyone is very helpful and eager to answer any question or concern you may have. Dr. Silver is always on top of everything concerning my pets (past and current). I have taken three of my pets to him over the last 18 years and I will continue taking any new pets to him. more

Outstanding 8/24/2010

Outstanding, we have 3 dogs (including 1 giant!), 3 cats and have been patients in the office for the past 6 years. Ira and Amy are wonderful, and Shannon and Kevin are always friendly and helpful. We couldn't be happier! more

I am extremely happy with the medical care received by my old standard poodle at Chevy Chase Vet Clinic. The vet Dr.Ira Silver is top notch. The office staff is kind and supportive and delivers a very personalized service. My dog has complex medical problems and I have total confidence in Dr. Silver. I highly recommend this practice. more
