a horrific experience! lack of friendliness/bedside manner 1/4/2012

Dr. Harrington was terrible. She did not even introduce herself or ask how our little girl was developing. She went directly into a choke hold to pin down our 1 year old who was in the midst of chewing a puff without even bothering to try to warm up to our very social baby. I left feeling like this Doctor must not like what she does or even like kids, but she sure could spout off a lot of demands on how we should raise our child and how we'd better watch out because we haven't even seen a tantrum yet and our child is sure to get ""brattier"" - really?!! It was absurd and the nurse wasn't much better, she didn't even say hello until I asked my daughter if the employee was going to say hello to her. Needless to say, I will never go back and I would dissuade anyone else from going there. Sorry if any of the other physicians or workers are nice - but if they tolerate working with these types of folks then they might need their heads examined too! more

Not the best 12/5/2011

The person who called us back to schedule the appointment wasn't the most professional and couldn't really grasp what I was asking. Also, they do not accept new patients just for testing. They do not accept parents who choose to lead an alternative lifestyle. If you only want to be told what to do and not actually be a thinking parent this is not the place for you. more

Caring staff and doctors 4/14/2008

I would highly recommend people to this office. I was at first reluctant because I generally hate going to a doctor for anything. As soon as I walked in the door and signed in I was greeted by a friendly face. My wait time in the lobby was minimal. Once I got into the exam room, it was a little bit of a wait but well worth it. The doctor went over all the ""progress"" sheets with me and sat down for a while talking with me. I was asked about concerns/problems my daughter was having and offered suggestions as to how to deter bad behavior and whatnot. The doctor was very thorough with answering my questions and interacted with my children - playing with them to ease them and make them feel more comfortable. He was gentle, caring, and seemed genuinely concerned. I was very impressed with the whole visit. Even when my daughter was getting her shots, she didn't cry (and they always cried at the old dr's office).\r \r The entire staff that I interacted with were proffessional, friendly, and caring. From the ladies working at the check-in counter to the girl who weighed and measured my daughter to the doctor. It was a breath of fresh air to be able to find a dr that took the time to try to get to know my children rather than simply checking them over really quickly and then move on to the next room. Pros: friendly, caring staff/drs., Cons: time in exam room is a little long (but that's because they are thorough and take the time to discuss things with you) more
