Great dentist, but don't take many insurance plans - even as an out-of-network provider. Both of our kids have had great experiences here: dentists, technicians, and office staff have been helpful, friendly, and professional. However, my dental insurance provider has changed and Chesapeake Pediatric won't accept the new provider at all. I would caution anyone who pays through insurance and cares about their kids being able to stay with the same dentist to think twice about going here based on their refusal to deal with many insurance companies. more

Very Comfortable & Professional 9/1/2009

Today was my daughters first visit to the dentist! I knew that she had some cavities and I was very nervous about taking her to the dentist. I myself don't like going to the dentist. However, Dr Tennessee was very kind and put me at ease. She explained everything to my husband and I in great detail. I don't know how she did it but she got my daughter to cooperate fully. She is wonderful and so was all of her staff. (I just wish she treated adults!!!). I highly reccommend if you have a child that you should take them to this practice. Pros: Very clean and kid friendly! more

The nicest dentist and staff ever encounterd 7/30/2009

I will have to disagree with PDan, Today was my childs first visit to Chesapeake Pediatric. My child saw Dr Tennasse (Dr. T) and she was the kindest dentist I've ever had my child to. She was informative and answered every question I had. As for the office manager she was the kindest and most helpful when\r I was scheduling my child to be seen at Franklin Square. She really knows her stuff. TWO THUMBS UP!\r The whole office was professional and kind!!! Pros: Great customer service more

Rude Service 5/18/2009

As a current patient, I called to schedule an appt. because my asthmatic son was having tooth pain and I was met with a very rude Office Manager, who was more concerned with insurance information and after receiving the correct insurance information never did provide an appointment date for my son. I also requested to speak with Dr. T to discuss my son's condition and I was told by the office staff that Dr. T was dismissing my son from their practice and she would only see my son if it was an emergency. No one ever inquired about the medical needs of my son and the customer service by the office staff left much to be desired. Cons: Pretty on the outside and rude on the inside more
