I bought several items but the coffee table I bought would not fit in my car so I told the gentleman that was helping me that I would send my son back with his truck - when he and my husband returned the table was gone . When questioned no one seemed to care or offer assistance on what happened. So, I am out $25 and a bad taste in my mouth over this bad experience. more

My wife used to volunteers at Cam. I told her that she shouldn't.Because of the following1There are some volenteers up there who want to boss the others around. I guess it makes their egos larger.2 There are some paid workers who think that they are the boss.3 Things have been donated that are bought by workers and never put out for sale to the public.At a greatly reduced price.4 Another volenteer screamed at my wife and said she was going to kick her butt. The manager was present and never did any thing about it.5 My wife was told by the head of the board that she could shop there but not talk to anyone. Well on May 28,07 my wife went up there.An employee told her she couldn't park her car by the fence. It's not A no parking zone. The employee was yelling at her. Other customers heard her yelling. My wife was told by the manager not to come up there for now. The type of managment up there appears to be lacking. It would appear that the inmates are running the place. The board that oversees this place should be more involved. As for myself if I have something someone can use I'll give it to them. Because I won't donate to Cam.Because they give the appearance of looking at their bottom line and that is all that matters. more

Cherryville Area Ministries and Thrift Shop is the best thrift shop in Cherryville. What I like about going there is that I know all profits will be going to help area ministries. With the Katrina disaster, many agencies in the Cherryville area were stretched the limit. I know the money received from this thrift shop business doesn't count for much, but every little bit helps. They have odd hours, so please be sure to call them if you are making a special trip to go there. I have found so many odds and ends things there, things I would never find anywhere else. The last time I shopped there I found a nice used lamp. It had that antique look about it, although it wasn't old. I didn't give much for it either, and I still use it today. I also found some great used cds as well. The price was outstanding. more

The Cherryville Area Ministries and Thrift Shop is a great place to look for odds and ends, used items. It is located at 212 N Mountain Street in Cherryville, North Carolina. Their business changes their hours to meet the needs of their customers, so be sure to call them to find out their current hours. It is like a gigantic yard sale. You never know what they will have. Sometimes you find very rare antiques or recent homemade items. I love the wide selection they have, and the profits from the sales at the business go to Area Ministries. You can talk with them about which ones, but it is for a good cause nonetheless. Once I found an old plate I had been looking for to complete my collection. I only paid one dollar, and it was worth at least 50.00 for that one plate. more
