I love Chelsea Piers; there is so much to do here. Whether you decided to use the driving range at the Golf Club, or go ice-skating at Sky Rink, or go bowling, or rent bikes/rollerblades and cruise around the neighborhood, or get in some batting practice, this is the place for you. It has a little of everything to suit your every need. These activities are a little more expensive here, but the convenience of not having to decide what you'd like to do until you actually get to your destination is worth the couple of bucks. So take the crosstown bus over to Chelsea Piers, it's worth it. more

This place has everything 12/30/2005

Welcome to Chelsea Piers! This place has everything. Chelsea Piers has done an extraordinary job with these piers. The view is outstanding and the sporting complex is unbelievable. They have batting cages and driving range right here on premise. The old Sky Rink (Ice Skating Rink) that was high in the sky is now here at Chelsea Piers, adding to the attractiveness and full service sporting complex. The view here is spectacular. So if you are visiting the City or even a resident you have to come here to appreciate it. more

Something for everyone 8/19/2005

I categorized Chelsea Piers in "Other" because it has a little of everything. There is a gym here, as well as a ton of other sports facilities. The story of Chelsea Piers is one of New York's great success stories. The only drawbacks are the location (it is practically in the Hudson River and a shlep from almost everywhere) and deciding what to do next! more

golf in new york! 8/18/2005

I did not believe until I saw it, but it is true. There is golf in New York. The piers has tons of great things, but the best has to be the golf. You can pay to hit balls out onto a range that is built over the pier. It is beautiful and a lot of fun. In addition they have tons of other things like bowling, bball and water sports. However beware it is REALLY expensive and its the only driving range i know that require you pay for a club....a bit ridiculous. more

Sports & Fun 8/17/2005

Chelsea piers is the place to go to do every kind of sport you can think of. You will have a lot of fun to. Basketball, baseball hockey. It's the best place to go to. I highly recommend Chelsea piers. ITs the place to go for a lot of fun with sports. more

All types of sports for the whole family 8/9/2005

There is no excuse for not being active when the Chelsea Piers sports center is so accessible. They have great hours, and a wide variety of programs for the whole family, or separate and take up your own favorite sports. Don't leave without taking a stroll around the marina as well, and looking at the boats in the docks. Don't get too close to the end though, you don't want to swim in the Hudson. more
