We will return again! 10/20/2011

Wow, what a great find that was recommended to us. So many choices from cold salads, hot entrees, sides, dessert, ice cream and coffee. One stop shopping for a meal at a reasonable price. There is something for everyone. From fresh parsley in the tabouleh to the dessert-like, brown sugar infused sweet potato casserole, we look forward to our next visit to sample the selections. Another patron recommended the cakes, but we left stuffed. Look for this great dining experience, we will return!! more

Wow!!!! Excellent food Great value 8/24/2011

Exceeded my expectations. Don't let the location fool you. This restaurant should be in a historic area and not in a strip mall. The food was nothing short of excellent. I had the New England pot roast, maria spinach, vegetable medley and desert and got out for less than $16.00. I highly recommend this place. more

What Happened to this Place? 5/20/2009

Used to be my favorite place. Went there the other day and ordered 2 to go meals. They piled all the sides on the plate and when we got home it looked like mush all gunked together. \r Emailed the owner and he was very apathetic and said they were reviewing policies. Oh well, wont go back. Went to a weddig they catered and it sucked as well. Used to be good now is terrible. Dont waste your money. Pros: Interesting Menu Cons: Overpriced & Food Quality is going down more

wonderful! 3/4/2009

Chef's Market is like no other place that I've been to. The food is gourmet and you shouldn't leave without enjoying a HUGE slice of cake!! Highly recommend this place! more

Fantastic food, excellent customer service in and off location! 2/27/2009

My office has used Chefs Market to cater many staff luncheons in office, offsite locations, and even had our Christmas party in the resturant one December. We've been using them for approx 5 years.\r We have never been disappointed! The chips and queso, the mixed salad and sesame dressing, tango tea are always winners! The desserts are very good. Lunch service, dinner service inside the resturant is always tops.\r I would highly recommend Chefs Market for any kind of function you may be considering. \r They go just about anywhere to take care of their clients. Reasonable prices for such good food and service\r Jim and staff are always easy to work with. \r Once you use Chef's Market, you'll be glad very glad you did!\r Staff of WHTN TV/Christian Television Network Pros: The food, the staff, the customer service, excellent catering Cons: nothing, except could use a PRIVATE Dining area inside more

Incredible, unique catering! 6/16/2008

Well, this is the litmus test for me... I had Chef's Market cater a training session I recently did at a local hotel. In attendance were sales people and managers from our company (Terex, we build construction equipmen) plus customers, vendors, and the mechanics who work on the equipment. At the end of the session every attendee filled out an exit survey. Not surprising, everyone did not rave about what I spoke about. Not everyone liked the hotel. A few complained about the parking, the subject matter, the training curriculum and the price we charged for the class. The only unanimous compliment was for the food, catered by Chef's Market. Every single survey (plus many comments we heard during the lunch every day) mentioned the food, especially the incredible chips & sauce! These guys really do it right, and it's why I use them at every event. Absolutely first-class, the highest recommendation I could give. Pros: Unique, gourmet catered food. The best chips and dip anywhere, ever! Cons: I've never had the chance to eat in their dining room. more

Amazing caterer and the cafe is great too 2/28/2008

I've known of Chef's Market for a few years as an event caterer. They have provided catering for a lot of our events and always do an amazing job. Their menus are inventive and creative and their service is impeccable. They always make me look good! Their food is fresh and presented in any way you need it: fun, casual, elegant and ""wow""! Whether its a party for 1,000 or a meeting for 20, Chef's Market always handles our business with the utmost professionalism and attention to detail. I don't live in Goodlettsville but was invited to come out to the cafe. On a shopping expedition I decided to drop in... what a great place. It's set up so you can choose your own fresh ingredients to make up your own meal. I recommend everything but especially love the hot chicken salad and their chips & queso is absolutely the best anywhere. It was great to walk into their cafe and see some of the dishes we've served at events. Don't let their storefront fool you ... inside lurks a catering event machine capable of handling the biggest parties anywhere! Pros: Great food, fresh and professional service Cons: They need more locations! more

Our go-to place catering and business meetings 10/11/2006

I cannot say enough good things about Chef's Market. The food is always top-notch, and the portions are very large. I had a large event (over 100 people) catered by them and the service was beyond compare - everything from the menu planning to the delivery went like clock-work. They were very easy to work with and we ordered everything from entrees to veggies, breads, desserts and even drinks. \r \r In addition we have eaten here on many occassions, from birthdays to business meetings, and we've dined in and carried food out. It's always good no matter what. There is something to please everyone's palate, which is important when you aren't sure what clients you've never met will eat. \r \r Our favorites entrees are the hot chicken salad, potroast, lasagna, and jerusalem chicken. Their vegetable casserole, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes, and sweet potato casserole are among our favorite sides. The breads are wonderful and the desserts are to die for! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu and they are always coming up with new and wonderful things to try! \r \r We like the fact that we can get in and out very quickly since the restaurant is set up in an elegant cafeteria style. And taking clients here is great since there are no servers to bother you or make you feel rushed. \r \r The staff is very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is casual. more

Need a ""covered dish"" 8/29/2006

If you need a dish to take to a party or need a cake for your own party; here is your answer. Just put the delicious food in your own dish and graciously accept the complements. :-) The Chef's Market is a lifesaver for those times you do not have the time nor the inclination to cook. The cakes are beyond my baking talent, so I always confess they are from Chefs Market. ;-) Pros: Gourmet food around the corner Cons: Should become a stand alone restaurant. more

Food is good, but too expensive 3/3/2006

I think that the food is too expensive here. Although, I love the atmosphere. The last couple of times I went the women serving the food was rude too. Good food though. Fun to eat outside!! Christian owners!! Pros: Good Food, Good Parking, Christian Owned Cons: Too expensive more

An Unbelieveable Display! 12/14/2005

If you need a caterer and want something not only incredibly delicious but also desire something so beautiful that people will be talking about it for months, then call Chefs Market. I cannot possibly convey in words what a marvelous job they do. You will be thrilled at the quality of their food and completely delighted at their presentation! Pros: Originality, Quality, Reasonable Prices Cons: None, None, None! more

Garlic!!! 12/10/2005

If you like (love) garlic, this is your kinda place! Unfortunately,I do NOT like (love) garlic and couldn't find a thing to eat here that didn't have garlic in it. If you work in a public place, speaking with myriad people all day long, you should try to avoid garlic. It is difficult to concentrate on what is being said when someone's breath so overwhelms you with this potent spice. more

This place has everything! 9/8/2005

I have lunch here at least twice a month. I like the salmon, jerusalem chicken or the clam chowder, but really - you can't go wrong here. Chef's is also my favorite place to meet someone for coffee. It's easy to share a slice of cake and talk for hours. The atmosphere is casual, warm, a little romantic. Plus you don't have to worry about a waiter interrupting the flow of conversation. Even my toddler daughter loves the food, but seems to enjoy the little play area even more. I've been to several events catered by Chefs. The food was not surprisingly delicious. Oh and when I said they have everything - I meant it. The little market area has been a lifesaver when I needed to pick up a gift on my lunch break. See you there. Pros: fantastic food, intimate atmosphere, great service Cons: full parking lot more

Unique and Very Good 6/20/2005

I would describe Chefs Market as a combination of a coffeehouse and an upscale meat-n-three. Unlike the traditional meat-n-three, the food consists of chef prepared delicacies you will not find anywhere else (my favorite is the Jerusalem Chicken with a side of Macaroni Alfredo and Roasted Potatoes). They also have outstanding desserts and, for the light eater, great fruit salads and vegetables. The portions are generous; so you shouldnt leave hungry. And, considering the quality of the food, the price for the typical entree is very reasonable (usually under $10). The environment is equally unique, quaint, and extremely family-friendly. And the staff is hospitable and courteous (even though they are not working for tips). Simply put, if you enjoy unique and tasty food that is reasonably priced and you prefer to dine in a pleasant environment, you should visit Chefs Market. Pros: Great Food, Reasonable Prices, Pleasant Environment more

My Favorite Cafe!!! 11/26/2002

I first started going to Chef's Market when I took my Grandmother to a doctor in Nashville a couple of years ago. Now, EVERY time we go to any place near Chef's Market, we HAVE to go there! My family LOVES it. The people are so nice and helpful and the food, well,,, the food is DELICIOUS!! My favorite is the Jerusalem chicken. The vegetables are the best I have tasted and they have quite a selection! If you have never tried Chef's Market, you are missing one of the finer things in life! more
