I ate food at a strip club and lived to tell about it. I actually very much enjoyed it. The menu is Southern inspired, with entrees like buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes, pork chops, and for the manliest of men, big steaks. I needed nourishment but wasn't super hungry so went with a range of sides: the asparagus, creamed spinach, and cheese grits. The asparagus was perfectly cooked (a serious feat), the spinach was creamy deliciousness, and the grits.... oh, those grits! Rivaling Rosebud's, they were the perfect mix of gritty, creamy, and cheesy. I absolutely loved each of the sides I tasted and would be stoked to return for a full meal at Alluvia.
