I have heard,due to the construction in the area the Charcoal is closing, NO,we cannot let this happen ! It is alandmark, on of the last of it's kind.Please don't let this happen,we all need to stand together,go regardless fo the construction,and hold on to an icon! Americans are too quick to tear down memories,for the love of money!!!!!! more

Great place to catch bus to NYC. 11/10/2005

The food here is not very good (greasy hamburgers and the like), but it is home to one of the Beiber bus stops. You buy your tickets inside the restaurant and tickets are reasonable for a trip to New York City. It takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to get to Port Authority were the bus drops you off. They have quite a few arrival and departure times well into the evening so it is extremely convenient for taking a day trip from the Lehigh Valley. You can leave your car parked behind the Charcoal (but the are doing construction in the area which is making it quite congested). It is probably ok to grab a bagel or something from the restaurant for the trip but I wouldn't sit down for a whole meal. more
