I went for the restaurant week menu, but ordered a la carte - the extremely limited menu of one appetizer and one main course did not appeal, although I tasted my companion's and was delighted. The wild mushrooms in the soup were pureed finely enough to make a delicious cream, but not so finely that their textures were lost. The grilled seafood sausage with its enormous chunks of lobster and divine pale-gold sauce was incredibly rich and indulgent. Finally, the goat cheese cheesecake with macerated strawberries and lovely caramel-crispy topping is the best dessert I can recall- except for the last time I had the pleasure of dining at Chanterelle. Add to this a gorgeous dining room and amazing service with kind, attentive waiters (but please don't go if you're in a rush!) and you have a truly heavenly experience for all of the senses.
Pros: Amazing food, Gracious service, Beautiful decor
Cons: Slow
