Great! Food was still hot. Only thing is that there wasn't a lot of meat in the Tom Yum Noodle Soup, and the soup was more like a broth, but still hit the spot. more

I really love this places pad Thai. They are nice, convenient, and quick. They would get 4 stars, but... When I ordered my pineapple fried rice I told them I had a nut and shrimp allergy, and please leave those out and add extra chicken. We picked it up, and when we got home, they totally ignored our instructions. I called and asked that they deliver a new order. They agreed. That order never came, and they never called me back. That's bad service, but more than that, it's dangerous. more

I ordered the panang curry and the prawn salad for dinner... mmmm! both were sooo delicious! the prawn salad had the perfect combination of tangy, spicy lime sauce with mint leaves. The prawns were large and very juicy and fresh. The panang curry was deliciously balanced with the peanut taste and spiciness. You can't go wrong with this place. more

Great Food, Service, Atmosphere and Value 2/24/2007

My wife and I have been to this establishment a number of times and it has become our favorite take-out place during the week. The food is always consistent, staff is friendly and is worth the price. We enjoy dining in once in a while, but since it's so close and convenient, take out is always preferred. Pros: Pretty much everything Cons: N/a - Parking can be tough more

Best overall Thai restaurant in San Francisco 2/17/2007

I have been to dozens of Thai restaurants in my life and I LOVE Thai food, and on that note i can easily say that this is one of the best both as far as food and atmosphere go, but what stands out the most is that this restaurant has heart! Once you go there you will be sucked into the environment and the people, they are all very kind, they really do care about every customer and they will make sure you have a great time when you go. I make it a point to stop there at least once every time I'm in San Francisco whether it's to take a friend there, have a nice, quiet meal, or just sit down and have a nice beer and some hot tea. Pros: Food,Service,Atmosphere, great overall positive feel more

Great Authentic Food, Good Prices, Lovely Service 10/17/2006

One of the best places in the city for Pad See Ew. I have tired a bunch and this one is one of the closest to my favorite way that they do it in Thailand! Green curry is delish too. As is their pork and garlic and basil. Meat was cooked flavorfully and tenderly. Hard to find this dish well prepared at other Thai restaurants. The decor inside is also beautiful and the servers have always been very nice and attentive. I have come to find that it is hard to find good Thai food in SF that makes it like they do in the home-land. I recommend this place for price, taste, authenticity and service. Pros: Authentic Delicious Food, Good Prices, Lovely Service Cons: none. more

Good Food - Fun Atmoshpere 1/16/2005

Great place to eat out on the Avenues. The food is great, the music is very good, and the service is warm and friendly. There is no yelling from the staff. The new decor is bright, lively, and upbeat. Reminds me of the lively colors of Thailand. But it is about the food. The food is very good and if you don't find what you are looking for on one page of the menu just turn the page. AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO ENJOY REAL THAI FOOD!!! Pros: GOOD FOOD, GOOD VALUE, FRIENDLY Cons: , TOO MANY ITEMS ON MEN more

great food and great atmosphere 1/16/2005

I love their appetizer combo (spring rolls, shrimp in a blanket, curry puffs) and their cocount soup. It's very quiet and the waiters are very courteous. No wait whatsoever. more

excellent choice for Thai 1/15/2005

The food here cannot be matched. I love the appetizers, especially the Thai style buffalo wings and the heavenly prawns. I would recommend the fried pan noodle with gravy for a main course. Portions are generous, waiters are courteous, and there is almost no wait after ordering. Pros: inexpensive, quick service, quiet more

Good Food! But UGLY Deco. 11/19/2004

If you go to thier website, it shows pictures of what it used to like. It was nice, unassuming and cozy. But now, it is absolutely horrible. Flesh colored walls, with poorly painted stripes of purple and pink. And the lighting makes dinner as romantic as eating at the DMV. Too bad, because the food is Very Good! Definitely better to order take out or delivery! Pros: Good food Cons: , BRIGHT! more

Thai Dinning done right. 4/20/2004

Great selection from central Thai and Northeastern dishes. Flavors and hot to suit all. Every one in the restaarant was enjoying themelves from couples, famlies and large groups. And you could hear your self talk. Service as you find in Thailand. ""With a Smile!"" Pleasant Thai music in the backgroud. Bathrooms sapcious and clean. Pros: Good Value, Great menu, comfortable Cons: , Need better beers more

excellent lunch 6/25/2003

This is the place for a great thai-style lunch. I suggest the golden chicken over rice to fill you up, or a bowl of beef noodles if you're desiring some soup. Whatever the choice, Thai spice made me a customer for life with their excellent service and peaceful atmosphere. At last, a place where I can eat lunch and read the paper without the blaring of cheap muzak to disturb me in the background Pros: service more

Wonderful 6/11/2003

Very nice Thai in the Sunset. Great soups, apps, and entree's in a comfortable atmosphere. The Green Curry dish is amazing!!! more

Great underrated restaurant 11/18/2002

This restaurant deserves alot more credit than it gets. I've been here several times and tried different things each time, and they've all met and exceeded my expectations. All of the curries are excellent, but I recommend the yellow chicken curry for those not wanting something too spicy. THe Pad Thai was the best I've had in the city. Thai Spice offers large portions for a very inexpensive price. The best part was i was seated quickly and served even more quickly. Pros: Inexpensive, not loud, warm Cons: parking more
