DON'T GET THE NACHO'S 10/15/2011

This was my first and last time eating at this restaurant. I went there just to kill some time. I ordered the half order of nachos. What did I get?? 7 small chips (like the kind you get in those snack bags) with less than a teaspoon of beans on each chip, sprinkled with a little cheese. When the waiter brought out the plate I was shocked! By the way the price was about $5.00! I had rice also, which was o.k. I only gave it 1 star because I had to. more

Want to eat without kids?? 7/14/2010

When I have a long week at work I go to Cha Cha's and ask for a seat in the adult only section. I order one of their many flavored margaritas and the Bontanas Grande! Great appetizer with a little of everything. Pros: Adult Only Section / Romantic Cons: Constant change over of waitstaff more

very friendly 8/7/2008

i love this place, my husband and i go often for an early lunch, the customer service here is the best, the waiters are friendly and prompt. the food and margaritas are great, food portions i found were appropriate which allowed for the great prices, its not like most restaurants where you pay a whole bunch for a large portion that you cant even finish. i strongly recommend this place for anyone who wants to just relax and have a good lunch. more

Good service, too pricey 2/26/2008

I got 10 tortilla chips topped with refried beans and melted cheese and it was almost 8 dollars, and that is what they called the full order not the half order...that was ridiculous. the tea was tasty though, and the salsa is not good, it looked like ketchup. When I was done with my meal, I was still hungry. My friend found a rubberband in her salad. I will not be going back ever again. Pros: tea, good service, alcoholic drinks Cons: too pricey for small portions of meals, parking more

Avoid 1/14/2008

I recently visited this restaurant and it was the worst experience I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. I don't know if the owner knows the people that gave it these rave reviews but here is one from a first time visitor: The sprite my girlfriend ordered was flat ( like water). My tea looked like mud (And tasted like it). The waitress told me that is what their tea looks like (seriously?). The food came out and there was no presentation. The nachos taste like something I threw together at home. The salsa was like ketchup! If this is your idea of the best restaurant...you need to get out more. more

Best Margaritas and Amazing guest service!!!! 6/23/2007

I have been a restaurant manager for 5 years now, and i can honestly say that Cha-chas is one of the most amazing dining experiences my family and I have ever received. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and we are treated like long lost relatives by the staff and even the owners! The setting is beautiful with an array of festive colors all around you and even an indoor pond. They have so many margaritas to choose from that I couldn't make up my mind, though i eventually settled on the ultimate wave margarita (an amazing three layered margarita made with chamborde, midori and blue caracao). Our food was out in record time and my server was extremely attentive, the whole staff in general were very friendly and we were always addressed with genuine smiles and sincerity. My wife and I have decided to make Cha-chas a weekly outing and i recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for amazing food, drinks and service. Pros: Everything! Cons: though i did have a bit of trouble finding parking... more

The service was great, friendly people and the location was very clean. The food was great with an authentic flavor. more

mexican 11/8/2006

good food , great service, they have a live music and great for a romantic dinner. tthe appetizers are the best Pros: cozy, as close to authentic as your going to get 200 miles away from the border Cons: not a lot of parking space, rice and tortillas not so good more

Great Margaritas 8/12/2006

Festive atmosphere, not too crowded. GREAT margarita selection! I wasn't overly impressed with the food (decent by San Antonio standards but not amazing), but the atmosphere and friendly service certainly helped. The group of us even got a free round of tequila shots from the manager! Pros: great margaritas, atmosphere Cons: tortillas did not seem home-made more

Best Mexican in San Antonio 3/30/2006

The Best in San Antonio! 10/8/2005

Cha Cha's is The best place to get great mexican food, wonderful service within a great setting. With reasonable prices, great lunch specials and a vast selection of food and drinks (namely the margaritas, which have won awards), Cha Cha's is the first place I recommend to everyone. Whether you are new in town or just new to Cha Cha's, they always make you feel right at home. My family and I had been going for years until we recently moved to Oahu. Cha Cha's is the #1 reason I'm homesick! You owe it to yourself to visit them. Whether you are on a date, with your family, or by yourself, you are sure to enjoy yourself. Pros: Reasonable prices, Great Service, Delicous food Cons: None! more

Margaritas and Guacamole 7/25/2005

Cha Chas has the best Guacamole I have tasted in San Antonio. The margaritas are also very good. I would recommend purchasing a pitcher and sharing it among friends. The service at the bar has always been gracious and caring. This is one of the better mexican restaurans in town. more

I Love This Place!! 5/13/2005

Cha Cha's is by far my favorite Mexican food restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect. If you want a romantic date, ask to be seated in one of their decorated gazebos. If you're with a group and want a fun atmosphere, go on a night they have mariachis, order a pitcher of your favorite margarita (tons to choose from) and request ""El Rey"". You can't go wrong with the food either. My favorites are the Queso Flameado, the Enfrijoladas, and the Sopapillas. Also, try their ""hot margarita"". It sounds weird, but it's really good. Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service Cons: None! more

Golden 3/24/2004

Cha Cha's has a very unique ambience. Where else can you go and relax and be stimulated at the same time. The waitstaff are the finest and the food is delectable. However, the part of Cha Cha's that really shines is the pure Golden flavor of their house margaritas. Cha Cha's has, by far, the best gold margaritas one can ever have. The price is amazingly low; $15 for a GOLD margarita pitcher is all you pay and worth $25 or more. Can you say YUM?! Pros: Great Margaritas, Never very crowded, great service more
