great hangout 8/29/2005

Century 25 at Union Landing is a great place to go with your friends. Not only is it huge consisting of 25 screens, it also has a great arcade and great food. the pricing of the items are a bit pricy and they do not allow outside drinks inside but the screens and sound quality blows you away. it is also surrounded by a lot of great hang out places so you will not be bored more

modern but crowded 8/12/2005

By far the largest and most modern theater in the area, this is quite a popular hangout for both teenagers and adults. In fact, its so popular that you'll probably have trouble finding parking on Friday and Saturday nights, as well as on the opening weekends of the more popular flicks. The building is very clean and well-maintained and still looks quite new. I always enjoy the stadium seating and comfortable chairs, and the armrests can be moved up or down depending on how close you want to sit to the person next to you. It's a bit pricey (almost $10 a ticket), but you're paying for the experience as well as the movie itself. more

nice theatre, a couple of problems 8/10/2005

Now the biggest advantage these theatres have is that they are a 5 minute drive from me so they are very convenient. They also have stadium seating in each theatre with alternating recliner and loveseat rows. There are a few 'traditional' flat row movue seats in the front of each theatre, with a nice big area for special needs seating. I have seen many handicapped people enjoying these seats, and I personally have used them with a stroller. The snack area is big and clean, and there are decent snack areas inside after you have handed in your ticket. The restrooms are usually clean and well stocked. The sound and picture system in each theatre is good. There are two problems with this cinema. First, they don't accept credit cards. When ticket prices are pushing $10 that's starting to be a little much to ask everyone to pay cash. Of course you can use credit cards through Fandango but then you pay a fee fo the privillege. The other problem is MAJOR and it is parking. When the theatres are running the parking lot gets overwhelmed in a hurry and it is impossible to finad anyplace to park. This is especially true on Friday and Saturday nights. They really need to build a multi-story parking garage just for the cinema and restaurant patrons. If they did that, thsi theatre would go up a star easily. more

major hot spot! 6/24/2005

This theater is one of the largest in the area, if not THE largest. It's got a whopping 25 screens, as you can tell from the name. This is a hot spot for movie lovers of all ages and tends to get really crowded on the weekends. If you go on a weekday during matinee, it's actually quite peaceful. The theater set up is really nice, it looks brand new still and the colors are vibrant and attracive. It is easy to spot friends across the huge welcome lobby with high ceilings. This theatre offers all the conveniences you'll need, automatic ticketing, fundango booth, easy return desk, video arcade, good-sized snack concession stand, several bathrooms, etc. The chairs are really comfy, they look like airplane lounge recliners. The sound system and screen size are impressive. more
