Honestly the first time I went there I swore I would never go back because the male doctor was so rude But over the last couple of months my dog has gotten very sick and I have had to rush him to the hospital, central vet of valley stream. They have gotten so much better! They vet techs have been so sweet to my baby boy and dr Gorman were so awesome with him. There's still loose ends there as far as rude people but my last experience have been good. Make sure you have insurance tho!!! It will be pricey if you don't! more

MURDERERS!!!\r This September I brought here my absolutely healthy young cat to give birth at this place. They charged me $5 000! They kept her for the night and in the morning they called me and said that my cat and her kittens are dead. I never got any explanation on how it happened or why. I just received my cat in a carton box and now she's buried on my back yard. I paid them $5 000 to kill my cat. I wish that money brings all the disasters and pain in the world to every single one of the staff responsible for my cat's death! I wish you all the worst! BURN IN HELL CVA!!!!! more

\r On Wednesday, April 10, 2013, a dear friend of mine called me in the evening. Absolutely frantic. Her beloved 1 ½ year old, black and tan, German Sheppard named Eva, was hit by a car.\r \r As you know, my neighborhood was decimated by hurricane Sandy. My friend had plumbers working in her house, repairing damage and one of them, tragically, left her side door open. As a result, both of her dogs ran out. She also has a Pug named Oliver.\r \r I rushed to her house to find her 16 year old son in the back of the family car holding Eva. Her husband was waiting to drive us.\r \r I called CVA and told them we were coming in with a HBC ( Hit by car ) 10 minutes later (It takes 22 minutes to get to work, usually). We were 2 blocks away. I called again and they said they were ready. Pulling up to the back lot, I must say that I have never been more proud. There, in the open doorway were at least 6 employees – stretcher ready, all waiting to help my friends, who they didn’t know. All they had to go on was their love of their job and a beautiful respect for the sanctity of the love that we have for our family pets.\r \r Sadly, Eva passed in the back seat, in the arms of my friend’s son. All of us, were so distraught. But CVA’s employees were there with us feeling our pain and offering hugs and tears of their own. My heartfelt thanks go out to the wonderful crew on that night. They exhibited such compassion, not just for me as a fellow employee but for my friends, who are total strangers. I think that’s what I’ll take from this tragic experience. And learn from it.\r \r The crew on that night were: \r \r Dr. Emmerich, Dr. Starr, Eleanor Kaempf, Elizabeth Kaempf, Melissa Howell, Nicole Cirasola, Renee Bryson, and Michael Daniels ( who carried in the 70lb, Eva ). \r \r I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone. If I did please forgive me. \r \r With warm regards,\r \r Phyllis Finn\r Administrative Assistant\r \r more
