first of all they changed their classes on you without notice. if this is routine they should tell you in advance what their intentions are.

Make sure that you call each and every morning to confirm that your Class, Drive or Observation is still scheduled and that you are scheduled for it. They will tell you that you don't need to call, but you do. If YOU don't verify you might waste a trip when they cancel. They will charge you a fee of $25.00 if you don't call and cancel your Drive appointment at least 4 hours prior to the appointment, but hey won't give you credit if they cancel and you waste a trip. You must pay this fee in cash as well (hmm). And they will not tell you that you have any fees to pay until you have completed the class. Then they have you over a barrel. You must pay the fees before they will give you the paperwork necessary to take to DPS.\r \r Only the Owner of the company can / will make decisions, exceptions, etc.. The owner does not trust the staff that they have hired to make decisions. In addition, the staff in the office after 5:00 pm cannot answer any questions or solve any problems or concerns. You must bring your concerns to the attention of the Office Manager between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm who will then discuss it with the Owner (you can't speak directly to the owner) and get back to you.\r \r If you do decide to go with Central Park Driving School, Question everything, don't assume anything and get their responses in writing. They will make you sign a contract. Hold them accountable to that contract as well.\r \r more

I took drivers ed at my high school (in Comal ISD) which is paired up with central park driving school. The teacher/driving instructor was HORRIBLE. She honestly seemed to have a screw or two loose. She would tell the class about her daddy issues and was super moody besides showing favoritism. Not someone that should be teaching teens. She made me so nervous in the in-car portion of the class from her shouting and overusing the brake (when it wasn't even necessary) I could not concentrate and had to switch to the other instructor. Luckily, he was very nice and patient. The car I drove was very old and had broken power steering. For nearly $400 to enroll in the class I would think they should have vehicles that work properly. Save your money and go elsewhere, and avoid the insane instructor mentioned above. Her initials are E.S. Heed the warning. more

Best Driving School. PERIOD! 11/14/2010

My two oldest kids got so much out of their classes at Central Park Driving School. They always came home from class telling me all of the ""cool things about the road"" and the effects of drinking and driving and texting while driving. The classroom instructor was serious about the kids turning in their notebooks on time, and finishing their assignments, but as firm as he was, he was also lots of fun and always had great things to tell the kids, even from his personal experiences. more

Extremely unsatisfied. 4/26/2008

I do not recommend this driving school! They frequently cancel driving appointments for my children and because of that, I had to pay 45 Dollars to extend the contract, all because they could not provide the drivers. Many of the instructors are old, one is even senile and frequently refers to Viet Nam. Pick Central Park if you want your kids to be educated by unreliable, old just plain stupid people. It took them 3 weeks to get my daughters permit, even though they said 3 days. Now, she is unable to get her license on her birthday because of them. I have spoken to three other parents who have had the same problems. One of the drivers used his brake so frequently that my daughter cut her hand on the steering wheel. The cars themselves are hazards with wires and tape dangling near the peddles. Pros: Class room hours are nice Cons: Dangerous vehicles, Unreliable service more
