• HISTORY: Cecil Ballard Photography was named after the photographer's father Cecil Ballard Grigory and the photographer's middle name is Cecil. After a life time of having his Biblical name Stephen spelled as Steven and his surname Grigory spelled as Gregory and worse, we decided to use an easier name to spell and pronounce.A Over the years we shot weddings and birthdays for friends and relatives at no cost.A A few years into retirement a friend encouaged me to turn professional and even loaned me his pricey Canon camera with which I shot may last free wedding.A Some of the pictures from that wedding are in the viewing gallery.
• OFFICE: All photography is done on location as we do not support a studio. We operate out of our home on Rebecca Creek in the unincorporated town of Spring Branch, Texas.A We have several backdrops that we can set up for portrait work in the customer's home if needed and at events such as proms and graduations.
• WEDDINGS AND OTHER RELIGIOUS EVENTS: Rules for photographers at church events such as Weddings, Baptisms and other Sacraments vary. Some denominations do not allow any photography during a service and others are quite liberal. We try very hard to communicate with the minister of a church well before the event and plan the photography within his guidelines.
• EVENT GALLERIES: Cecil Ballard Photo posts all pictures on our own serverA inA a galleryA formatA andA we maintainA our own shopping cart on the website. We personally process each order and will contact you by email if we think you have made an error - like a double order.
• PAYMENT METHOD:A Payment may be made by check or credit card.A Paypal is used for credit card processing and CBP never sees your number nor is it stored locally. You do not need a PayPal account to process the credit cards listed in this adA and on the website.
• Photo Security: Photos cannot be copied from a gallery. An eventA gallery can be password protected but weA feel it is necessary.
• WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY: The large wooded lots along Rebecca Creek support a variety of wildlife including many birds you don't see in urban areas, turkey, bobcats, coyotes, ring tail, fox, rock squirrels, white tail deer, at least one cougar and the usual assortment of varmints (raccoons, skunks, squirrels etc.) I have personally seen the cougar twice but they are extremely shy and difficult to photograph. We have a wildlife gallery for your viewing pleasure and purchase.
