Editorial review from Citysearch 1/8/2014

Stay Away- The phone system is terrible and lacks even the basic features needed in a small to medium size office. We were attracted by the quoted monthly savings and were assured their service was best in class. What a mistake!! Every time we call technical support we get the same ridiculous excuse that they know it is a problem and the tech guys are working on a ""fix"". I would stay away if the phone and internet are important to your business. We took many steps backwards when we switched to Cbeyond. more

Great Value for the Price 6/2/2011

I have the employee mobile services package and I must say Cbeyond has exceeded my expectations. It is a very good value for the price and it has definitely been a great choice so far. more

Personal service! 5/16/2011

CBeyond has done a great job of 'peronalizing' their service. My contact person is Chantelle Soganich, and she is always willing to help and follows through on all issues. more

Cbeyond Saves me money 5/16/2011

Saves us a lot of money over prior carrier. Everybody I've dealt with at Cbeyond has been professional and personable. The few problems I've had were dealt with quickly by your staff. Overall very happy more

Outstanding customer service! 5/16/2011

We've experienced good and fast service since being a Cbeyond customer. The customer service people I have talked to speak English clearly and are very, very patient. Cbeyond's service works great, but when there is a glitch, I can usually get it fixed within the day, thanks to outstanding customer service! more

24x7 Call Center Interaction 4/25/2011

When we call for service or with questions concerning current or possible new services, the response is always friendly, polite, & knowledgeable. 'Also LOVE being able to understand the person helping me!! I've just heard too many terror stories about 'alternate' phone systems. Cbeyond has put ALL those stories to rest. more

Great service during an outage caused by lightning 4/6/2011

We were hit by lighning and service was absolutly the best.\r \r They transferred our phones and already had repair service moving before we even knew the service was out.\r \r Great communication throughout. We were able to talk to a real person within 1 minute when we called more

My entire experience with Cbeyond was good. Repeat Customer 1/31/2011

The entire experience with Cbeyond was a very good one. My Service Coordinator took his time and explained all the steps needed for the installation. There were a few changes but this was due to our end. We already have this service in another location of ours and decided to use the service in our new location. more

Great Company 1/20/2011

Great Company... they lowered my bill by 50%. I was skeptical at first but did my research on the Better Business Bureau and verified these reviews. I would recommend them...the only issue I had was my first bill was off but I called customer care and they help me enter my rebates online and corrected the issue...I would do it again!! more

Such a great company should hire better sales people 1/18/2011

I""ve had Cbeyond in my business for the last 2 years and couldn't be happier. Very cost effective, helpful and friendly stuff, high quality services... just great! The -1 star is because the sales rep was unexperienced and very young... Maybe that's why some of these customers are so pissed! Such a great company should hire people with more experience and professionalism. In general, very happy with Cbeyond. Highly recommended! more

Don't Do it, the worst Experience Ever, DON'T!!!!!! 10/12/2010

I'm a Business Owner and this innocent guy on training came over to offer me Cbeyond, Being on Sales for so many years felt that this guy needs his first contract so I gave him a chance.\r Worst mistake ever, the hardcore bulldog closer came next with the contract, sounds good at the beginning and signed up on beginning of 2010\r Told me I can transfer my 1800 number to them—NOT TRUE\r Told me I can transfer my efax to them – NOT TRUE\r Told me that the online receptionist has the feature English and Spanish NOOOOOT TRUE\r Told me that my internet was going to be faster – Not True (and I have the proof from speedtestdotnet)\r TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO SAVE 100 A MONTH – NOOOOOTTT TRUE (Rep forgot to mention the taxes)\r \r So after two months and Cbeyond was unable to deliver what they promises I ask to cancel the contract, and they said NO, all those features are additional services and are not including on the contract and If I need to break it I need to pay all the 3 years contract. Almost 12,000 a year. And their contract is just a few pages long, enough to be general so you can’t break it.\r I felt these vultures took advantage of me.\r The Rep looked in to my eyes and told me Client satisfaction is our slogan, if you are not happy we will happy to cancel the contract for you. NOT TRUE, NOT TRUE AT ALL, I FEEL SO UNHHAPY THAT I ALMOST CRY OF ANGER.\r But I will tell to every single business owner in Not to sign up to CBeyond. My goal is one Business owner a day for the remainder of my contract (at this point 1005 business owners left)\r more

Choosing CBeyond: Worst Decision EVER 5/19/2010

I am a business owner in California who made the mistake of signing a contract with C-Beyond in March 2010. It was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made as a business owner, and I am still paying the price for it. The largest of many problems was that their T1 routers misread every phone number dialed out by our (new) PBX, resulting in a 100% loss of outgoing calls. C-Beyond informed me that the problem was with my phone equipment and not their routers. After spending $800 on phone testing and tech support, it was determined that the problems were, in fact, with C-Beyond's routers. However, C-Beyond was unwilling/unable to do anything about it. Simply put, my existing equipment was incompatible with C-Beyond's, and could not be made to work at all. This all should have been determined at the time of sale, but the eager young sales representative was too busy salivating over the contract to do a proper site survey. I spent a full month without use of my phone system, which nearly crippled my business, until I could switch back to AT&T. C-Beyond is completely unresponsive to any and all requests for support once they realize you are not happy with them. They are still trying to bill me $1,500 for services they completely failed to provide. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this business. I wish I had. Pros: Friendly Cons: Completely full of crap more

Began as a customer... grew to be more. 9/17/2009

As Cbeyond's customer and advertising agency, we wanted to weigh in with our opinions. \r \r The truth is, we've been a Cbeyond customer for more than six years and have never had any major issues. In fact, we were their customer even before they were our client. \r \r We really liked their products and packages and it made sense for us to sign up. Later, as our contract came up for renewal they offered us an even better value for extended services. Our telephone and internet service has never been interrupted, nor have we had any other technical problems.\r \r For the past five years, as their agency we've gotten the chance to work side-by-side with Cbeyond and get to know their employees. These people believe in their business and really care about their customers.\r \r We've truly never had any problems with our service and wanted to share our positive experiences as not only their agency, but instead as a long-time customer. \r more

Cbeyond Communications 3/2/2009

I have had a wonderful experience being a Cbeyond for 8 years now. I have never had any issues and any time I have called in to Cbeyond customer care (24/7) they have been very friendly and helpful. My online bill is a great go-green approach and the online management tools are dummy-proof. I use over 20 over their applications they offer. When switching over my installation process was flawless and the vendors were very professional, on time and help ful. I couldn't ask for a better service. I eventually even bought some of their stock, even in a bad economy right now they are doing an incredible job and I believe its because they are so on top of their customer service and wonderful services. I would recommend Cbeyond to anyone. Pros: awesome customer service, great price, easy flawless install Cons: doesn't service every where nationwide, just most large cities more

CBeyond should be shut down! 1/29/2009

I own a small private school, and I switched to CBeyond for this school year. The experience has been nothing short of horrible. The salespeople flat-out lied about everything from the price, to the incentives and credits they never gave . I am going to get out of my contract. A contract is only binding if the company delivers what it promises. The idea of a contract is to protect BOTH parties. As a consumer, your protection is that the company has to deliver what it promises. If it doesn't, there is a breach of contract. Pros: None. Cons: The cost will be higher than what they tell you. more

CBEYOND NIGHTMARE 1/22/2009

I am writing this so that I may help somebody in the future to ""NOT SIGN UP"" with Cbeyond and save money and headaches. Their sales people are LIARS. They misrepresented absolutely everything, including PRICE. And then when you try to get a hold of them, they misteriously dissapear (their cell numbers are disconnected). When you call customer support and ask about them, they tell you they were transferred to some other region, including the Sales Mngr they brought in to close the deal.\r Their customer Service is HORRIBLE, and the person that was assigned to your company is ALSO gone within the first 2 weeks. All in all, you are paying double for a service that you already have. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

Cbeyond Online - NOT Good News 5/21/2008

Cbeyond has chosen to place no emphasis on the Cbeyond management interface (Cbeyond Online). Cbeyond Online is used to manage your account, including email, phone, vm, and all other Cbeyond services.\r \r We have used Cbeyond for 4 years.\r \r Cbeyond online is always sooooo slooooow it is painful to administer your account.\r The Cbeyond Online server is often down and always slower than any other service I know of.\r \r I can only believe this is the result of some bad management decision. \r \r The email administration (setting up domains, setting up email accounts, and modifying accounts) is not only slow, but the server kicks you out on most operations. (Example: after updating a mail forward the system kicks you out.)\r \r Bottom line is they have not funded the on-line management interface and this results in a terrible waste of time attempting to manage your account. If you pay the bills, you should assume a large cost here.\r \r If I were the president I?d assume the worst, gut the team and start over. It would cost next to nothing to buy a few high-end web servers to problem solved.\r Pros: Good broadband and VOIP service Cons: Terrible Management - Online Service Not Worth It more

CBEYOND IS A BAD DEAL, DON'T SIGN THEIR CONTRACT 5/1/2008

...My first time on here so be patient. I have 3 contracts with CBEYOND communications & we're in Los Angeles. We switched from At&T to save a few bucks...WHAT A MISTAKE ! I'm just letting anyone who reads this be warned. This co. doesn't have the resources to match what we're all used to getting from the regular phone co.s They promised free caller id with name & number but they are charging us. they promised easy set up but you have to use your own T1 guy & your own phone guy. Then when it doesn't work THEY BLAME YOUR GUY--meanwhile you're losing hundreds of dollars a day ! ! Our line 3 only works part time. the T1 in one of my stores has NEVER worked !!!!!! The reason they want you to sign the contract is so that when they screw up you can't leave. It's nearly impossible to get out of their contract...so DON'T SIGN IT !!!!!! Cons: phone lines only work part-time, 1 DSL has NEVER worked, CONTRACTS ! more

Complete Nightmare, like selling soul to the devil 4/27/2008

DO NOT USE PERIOD. \r \r If you sign a contract with this company it's like selling your soul to the devil. It has being a complete nightmare for me. At this moment I am trying to get out of the contract and on their terms they list that if you have 2 consecutive outages you are free from the Contract but that is not true. We had 4 outages at least in 1 month and we try to cancel well they sent us a nice bill of $4200 in early termination fees. Take it from me, do yourself a favor and stay away from this company.\r \r If you want phone service just get regular DSL and get the VONAGE Voip. Service is 100x's better then Cbeyond and 100x's cheaper as well. Did I mention no contracts??\r \r Don't get scammed by Cbeyond's fancy web site as that is just a front. \r \r I give this place ""0"" stars.... Actually they deserve -5 stars if they allow. Cons: a complete rip-off more

Are You Sure It's The Right CBeyond? 11/6/2007

We switched from Bell South (voice, DSL) to CBeyond (VoIP voice and Internet via T-1) six months ago. In all of six months, we have had one significant service issue. One. Compare that to daily issues with Bell South. I don't know why the other two reviewers had problems, but I'd venture to say there is an inability to read and listen on their part. The contract we signed was crystal clear about what we were getting. They made no misrepresentations about their being a CLEC carrier who would be using Bell South wiring but providing all services. (Bell South owns the copper and fiber folks. Deal with it. We just emerged from 80 years of Baby Bell Monopolies and you expect parallel communication infrastructure to pop up over night?) They also explained that they lease their CDMA cell phone tower access from companies like Sprint and Verizon. Again, a tower costs millions to erect, and the equipment is provided by someone else, so what's the point in not using the equipment that's already there? Look, I'll admit that there were minor problems with tihs growing company, but they are far better than anything else out there. Feel free to email me if you want to discuss. Just remember, caveat emptor and cetarus paribus. (That's latin for ""be aware of what you're buying"" and ""all things being equal"".) Pros: WAY cheaper than Baby Bell and using their infrastructure to boot. I love sticking it to the man. Cons: Limited cellphone selection. You have to find your own VoIP equipment provider.
