Castle Pet Resort & Spa

I left my beloved boxer there for 4 days while I went on vacation. I sent him with a little bag of dry food and 6 cans of wet food. I gave instructions to leave dry for him through out the day and feed him wet food at 3. My husband even told them these directions when he dropped him off. When my hubby picked him up he was told how great out dog was and how he was so happy. While unpacking his things I saw that the small bag of food was open but still full. (it should of been gone in 4 days) and 1 out of the 6 cans of wet food was missing. I called and spoke to the manager and she apologized and said maybe he was not eating because he was sad but they had just told us that he had a great time. Even if he did not eat he should of been offered food which he was not because almost all of it came home with him. She said she would ask the workers and get back to me. She called back and said that he would not eat but I replied he was not even offered the food it. She hung up called back and said she was sorry but my dog was not offered food until the last day. That is NUTS my dog did not get feed for 4 days!!!!!!! I told them I wanted a refund since they did not care for my dog as I paid them to do. I even paid them for extra play time which I doubt that he got. (My hubby even told me the his room looked like the pound for 25.00 a night. Not sure what you get for 38.00. ) She hung up called back and said the OWNER would not refund my money and they offered free services. ARE YOU KIDDING!!! They did not do what I paid them to do what are they going to do to my dog if I don't pay them. I will NEVER bring my dog back and I PRAY you will not take yours either. more

Good: I have been to a ton of grooming parlors. My dogs are what you might consider problemed dogs! They nip they squirm they scream! But Avis the groomer there did an awesome job. She is the DOG WHISPERER.. Bad: NOT A THING!. Improvements: I wish I could go there more often. Maybe if they had a frequent buyers program or something!. Other: I was bouncing around grooming parlors one in Glendora one in Claremont one in La Verne... You name it I have been there! Its always something either they are too much money or my dog looks like he saw a ghost when I pick him up. I discovered the grooming parlor at Castle Pets by accident one day when I was driving to work. I dropped my dog for grooming and daycare because they have a great doggy daycare facility! Did a great job on the ears and the nails. I am now a loyal fan!?. more

I was nervous to bring my two year old puggle here after we tried a different boarding place in Orange, CA. I brought him in and he went and started playing with the dogs right away. The yard for doggy day care is beautiful and they just get to play all day long as if they were at the dog park. When it was time to pick him up we were stuck in traffic, surprise in CA right?, well I called and they weren't going to charge me anything for being late where other places usually make you pay at least $10-$15 extra. We picked little Captain up and he looked so happy, when we got in the car he plopped down and fell asleep before we were down the block. I absolutely will reccommend Castle Pets to anyone in the area and will most definitely bring my dog back if I'm in the area. Like I said, I wish this place would travel with me :) Oh don't forget the doggy treat gift bag I got when picking him up!!? more
