Funny thing is I'm not a customer, but had to let you know this little ditty about how this company operates. I'd spent the day with my disabled Mom who just barely can get around with her forearm crutches at the doctor's. We'd had a long trip and she was in more pain thatn she usually is, and completely exhausted. I'd spent some time with her in her home after all was said and done. My son came over and told us, ""I'm glad I came here because there was some lady who went inside your fence and then got surprised by the dogs and ran out. She left the gate open and your dogs got out."" He then gave me the letter. I saw this was from the mentioned company and then saw that the name on the envelope was not anyone we know, and the address wasn't even on the street she lives on. I called last night right after this incident, and they were closed. This A.M. (10-20-11) at about 0945 hours, I called them and let them know what kind of predicament they would've placed my Mother in had we not been there. Response? I was told that I should not have opened someone else's mail, that that was illegal, that noone from their company would go inside a fence, that doesn't sound right. I asked her if she was telling me I was a liar and told her that there was no guessing her part needed, because I was telling her the facts of what happened. As far as opening the letter goes, I told her that first of all, it is NOT mail, as it had not stamp or postmark on it. I did not get this letter from a mailtruck prior to its destination, nor did I pick it up from a distribution center. Additionally, HAD it been mail and arrived in my Mom's mailbox, we STILL would have been within our legal right to open the envelope and view the contents. Not only that, but she wanted my name and address ( I told her absolutely NOT) and then later told me that my mother's address was listed in the man's records as a former residence and that he rented a room from my Mom. My Mom has been at her place of residence for many years and has never had anyone outside of our family stay with her- what a lie. The woman's name was Lupe and she is the supervisor there. According to other review sites, she has been rude, curses behind the counter in full view of the customers, and the entire office smells like an ashtray, even though she is not supposed to be smoking inside a place of business according to Killeen ordinance. If you like doing business with people who don't give a damn about the disbaled, who don't care that they could've created a horrible situation for a woman who had nothing to do with this situation ( she just fell 3 days ago in her yard, can't lift one of her arms now), who smoke in spite of potentially asthmatic or cancered customers and the law, well, then, this is the place for you. However, just know that if you default on your loan, this company will make others aware of your situation because they hire idiot drivers who believe they are delivering mail even though they don't know what street they are on or that when a habitat is surrounded by a fence, that generally means stay out. Good job, Cash Plus- I can't wait to see if I can find this person- I would love to stand with him in court to let the judge know that you did not make an earnest attempt to contact him. Additionally, if you send a Constable to my mother's home to collect property that isn't hers, we'll see you in civil court for trespassing and harassment, perhaps some A.D.A. violations, too. Take care.
