RE: Request to drop review because of FALSE INFO 10/12/2017

I am writing this because Casey Automotive requested I drop a poor review I posted because they say I posted "False Information" - I did NOT. I got a bulb replaced on my car a couple months back and Casey charged me $50.00! I have the receipt and if Casey Automotive would like to CONTACT me, I will be happy to produce it. If they would like to refund what ever they think is fair for changing a bulb that took 5 minutes, I will be happy to take it down. You have my EMAIL address if you would like to follow up with me. Until then my review stands. more

I've been using Casey's since I moved to Palatine...20+ years! Never had I had a bad experience here. And I own 4 cars! Friendly service and great explanations of repairs required. Thumbs up to Pete, Jessie and the whole team!! more

WORSE PLACE!!! TOOK IN FOR WHEEL BARRING (BRYAN WHOS SUPPOSEDLY THE BEST TECH THEIR SAID IT WAS NOT) GUESS WHAT WENT ELSE WHERE AND IT WAS MY FN WHEEL BARRING AND HUB!!!! YOU GUYS ARE LUCKY IT DIDN'T BREAK MY AXLE CAUSE I WOULD SHUT YOUR SHOP DOWN., I HAVE TOLD EVERYONE I KNOE THAT USE TO COME TO YOU TO NEVER EVER GO BACK!!! AND THE WAY YOUR STAFF HANDLES THINGS IS A JOKE! more

Prompt & correct diagnosis of my car's needs 9/6/2017

The automotive engineers & technicians at Casey did me yet another SOLID favor this week--bringing to my attention minor electrical component failures which led to other problems. They pointed out how one piece (electrical relay on my Buick) was impacting another and leading to weird, intermittent behavior. The happy ending for me is that with Casey's long experience in fixing a wide range of vehicles--from a whole lot of different manufacturers--they were able to recognize a part failure that can go bad on GM's of a certain age. Thank goodness for their skill & training --they quickly diagnosed then rectified the problem--so I can continue (blissfully) down the road! Thanks CASEY!! more

Oil change 9/2/2017

Returning customer and needed an oil change. Went in at 9:30 on a Saturday and was told no can do. We aren't taking anymore oil chsnges. How about Tuesday first thing in the morning . I like most people work! This is how returning customers are treated. Pretty disappointed. Maybe think about allowing appointments instead of disappointing a customer. For over 41 years now, our family has been operating on a first come first served basis. We do this in order to service as many cars as we possibly can and to insure each vehicle gets the quality time that is required. We are very sorry to have inconvenienced you. If you're available in the mornings, we open at 7:30 am. That is the best time to come in for a quick oil change. You can always call us ahead of time to see if there is a wait time. more

No appointments taken 9/2/2017

Don't come here if you need work done. Used to like this place but not worth it anymore and I'll start to look at auto repair local to me. Hint for business, learn how to create a schedule and make appointments. I will not be back. Our family has been coming here with all of our cars for several years. The service is above and beyond. They explain everything that's going on with your car, what service you'll need in the future, etc. Gabe is always so helpful and goes out of his way to take care of our family vehicles. As a long term Casey customer I've come to expect the best possible service and prompt responses to problems. My latest experience only serves to confirm their dedication. A problem with a leaking steering component turned into a marathon experience when the replacement part proved to be defective. Casey, to their credit, not only replaced the defective part at no charge but also absorbed the cost of other components compromised in the process. Such integrity is both rare and refreshing. more

RE: Simple Fix Was Expensive 4/1/2017

I needed a BULB replaced in my '10 E Class so I stopped in at the Palatine garage before going to work. Got right in and the bulb was replaced in 10 minutes. No Problem there. Cost....$55.44 !!!! Do I expect the work for free? Of course not. But is $55.44 for a BULB and 10 minutes of work a fair price? Not in my book. Sorry. more

We have had some issues with our Explore lately and Pete has been very helpful. It has been a bit more expensive than expected but that could not be helped. We have always felt that Pete has treated us fairly and honestly. more

Even tho my car is old ('99), and the parts weren't on hand, they got the parts the next day, and my car passed the emissions test (rough idle; check engine light ON) the following day. more
