Great Stay 9/27/2010

""Last weekend my family and I stayed at the Casa Bella in South Padre Island, TX. The room was great. Very clean, neat, air conditioner was freezing, and each room had a view of the pool and jacuzzi. We were also right on the water (bayside) and had access to a covered fishing pier which also had boat docks available. This along with very courteous service, coninnental breakfast, and a great location. We were walking distance from shops, restaurants and bars. It was a great value for the price and we will definitely stay there again! In fact I recommended it to some extended family and they also rented rooms and joined us for some fishing, so it was great. "" more

THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL FOR A DAY A WEEK OR EVEN A MONTH!!!!!! 9/16/2010

THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED AT PERFECT PRICES FOR WHAT I AM GETTING, QUITE, AND ENJOYABLE. THE POOL IS THE BEST WITH CHANGING LIGHTS MY KIDS LOVED IT, BEING ABLE TO SIT ON MY BALCONY WATCHING MY KIDS HAVE FUN IN THE POOL WHILE THE NIGHT COOL WILD BLOWS. WE ALSO COULDN'T BELIVE THAT IT HAD A FISHING PIER WITH ALOT OF FISH SWIMMING AROUND JUST WAITING TO GET CAUGHT IT WAS LOTS OF FUN. THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND HELPFULL. THIS WAS THE BEST HOTEL THAT I HAVE EVER STAYED AT AND I WILL COME BACK AGAIN AND I HOPE EVERYONE DOES THE SAME BECAUSE THIS IS A GREAT HOTEL FOR A DAY A WEEK OR EVEN A MONTH. more

We will always continue to come back here! 9/9/2010

I stay here every year, and it has always been great. The desk and bar staff are the best. The rest has good food, not the best ever, but it is good. Any problems we encounter are fixed, and any requests we have are fulfilled. The pools are great, and this time they offered a real nice deal. $99/night, with free breakfast vouchers for each morning, and this was during Memorial Day Weekend, when prices are usually doubled that anywhere else! I understand that this isnt a five star resort, so they are not going to have the best everything. We stay at the MGM Grand in Vegas every year, and we understand that both this resort cant compare, but we still love the cozy, homely feeling we get from the place and the staff. We will always continue to come back here! more

I am defiantly staying there again!! 9/3/2010

I just got married and the wife a California girl never set foot on the Texas coast so I took her to SPI for the honeymoon. We got in late and did not know the hotel change names to South Padre Island Resort. I called the main desk they gave me directions and when we arrived the check in manager and desk clerk were very friendly and saved me 150 dollars (due to using a debit/credit card)! They let us pick our room and we got the top floor right on the beach! Incredible view!! I believe if you’re friendly and polite everyone around you will act the same way. That also goes with being rude, you act negative you get a negative result (bad service & rude staff). The only complaint is the bed & food, the bed was a little hard and the fruit for breakfast from room service was a little old and/or tuff. We had an awesome time there on the beach and at the pool. The bartender at the pool was super friendly and helpful she can make some good mean drinks too!! All the staff was very courteous and informative about how to get around paying and arm and a leg for food and fun on the island (tourist traps). For as old as the place is it is in good condition considering SPI is one of the most popular spring brake destinations in the US. To sum it all up, the hotel was on par with the amount that I paid and the service was above and beyond what I paid. I am defiantly staying there again!!\r The newlyweds more
