Cary Towne Center has recently redone the tile, which has made it look nice. There is an excellent little coffee place called Gloria Jean's. It has great milkshake/coffe mixes. I'...

Conveniently located, but has downsides 3/16/2006

I tend to go to Cary Towne Center when I need something from a mall and don't have much time to shop, since it's five minutes from my townhouse. However, it's layout is not conducive to causal shopping. It's laid out as two long strips at a 45 degree angle to each other, so there's no possible way to browse the whole mall without backtracking. That aside, it has all the standards (Belk's, Penney's, Dillard's, Hecht's, GAP, Aeropostle, Victoria's Secret, Body Shop) with some hidden treats, like a branch of LightYears (best jewelry shop ever!) and a sports memorabilia store across from cinnabon that actually sells Carowhina shirts (and other rivalry shirts). more

Nice mall 1/22/2006

I like this mall. Its pretty generic, but generic can sometimes be a good thing. My only problem is that it is in Cary, and the town of Cary, especially around this mall confuses the heck out of me. Coming from raleigh it is very difficult to get to, this may not be a problem for cary residents...or people who understand the area. more

regular mall 8/20/2005

Cary Towne Center is a best bet for shoppers who like the big chain stores like Express, Structure and the Gap. It's also a good spot for department store lovers, offering Dillards, JCPenney, and Sears as well. Other notable stops among the 140 stores are Light Years (cool gifts and jewelry) and Journey's (trendy shoes). The mall has a large food court, plenty of parking and easy access from I-40. more

Ugh - the most boring mall in the Triangle 8/17/2005

Seriously, I can't stand going to this place. I avoid it at all costs. Why oh why can't Cary have one of the better malls? That's okay, I love the Streets at Southpoint and Triangle Town Center. Crabtree Valley mall is also much better than Cary Towne Center. I think they should demolish this mall and completely revamp it to be a nice big mall like the others in the area. Maybe in another 10 years? more

All the basics... 8/17/2005

Cary Towne Center is a nice mall. There are all of your usual stores found in most malls such as Limited, Express for Men, Claires boutique, Spencers, Kirklands etc.... The department stores found here are Hudson Belk, Hechts, Dillards, JC Penney and Sears. This mall is an easy place to fun in and out of for a quick shopping trip! more

A great smaller mall. 8/11/2005

This is one of the kids' favorite malls. There is a bouncy house and carousel down near the Sears, and we make frequent trips to the bouncy house and carousel. While there, we stop by Cinnabon for some mouthwatering cinnamon rolls. There is a nice selection of stores at this mall, but fewer high end stores- just nice regular stores, and a ton of anchors. more
