Carvel Ice Cream & Bakery

In all my years, I have never seen an ice cream store like this! I was raised on Carvels and I can say that this is no true carvels... It is like they just bought the name to do whatever they want to do with the place. The store is not clean at all, If you take a look at the floor in the place they are ALL dirty! The store overall is dirty. I can not believe they are trying to sell food our of there. Take a look into the back where they wash dishes and you will see some of the dirt on the walls as well as how not so neat they keep the place. Saw them making cakes and there was no use of gloves what so ever! The person making the cake has just came into the store never washed their hand and just stared making cakes! I do not understand who is running the show at this place but some changes need to happen very soon! more

This was a horrible expierence for me and my family. The ice cream was over-priced. The employees were not friendly or welcoming in the least bit. And when I asked to speak to the owner, he could not have been more rude. Also, it was a very dirty/unsanitary place. There was ice cream and used napkins on almost every table and it took 15 minutes to get a hotdog and fries. It was just a bad time all the way around! more

I have never been more disgusted with a place of business in my life. There was an employee who gave one of the other customers the wrong cone (which the customer said she was okay with, "I don't care which cone, it doesn't matter." she said). The owner exploded on the young employee and then on his wife, who also owns the store. I have NEVER seen an employee being treated so bad in my life! After he scolded the young girl who must have been about 16, he then started screaming at his wife, loud enough for all the customers to hear. She (his wife) then walked out of the store in tears. It was one of the worst expierences in my life. The owner, Ed Spear, is an mean, nasty person who will NEVER again get my business. more

With several ice cream shops in our town, I am least fond of this one. They have the vanilla and chocolate soft serve ice cream, as well as just a few hand pack flavors. I feel they are over priced and you do not get what you pay for. They have ice cream cakes too, but they are quite pricey as well. more
