With a name like "Cartoon Cuts" you'd think I'd stay away, but I found out they accept donations of long hair for Locks of Love, so I went there to drop off my ponytail. Actually to be honest, I went to the one at the Mall at Wellington Green. The one listed above on Belvedere wasn't open yet.
I found out that if I ever wanted to donate again I could get my hair cut free. (Apprently that's the agreement they have with Locks of Love.)
After last year's hurricanes my sister was ready to chop off all her hair so I went with her as soon as the mall reopened. The person cutting our hair didn't understand us and we were left with haircuts we were not happy with--but we still gave her a $5 tip.
We couldn't stand our botched haircuts anymore so after two weeks we went back--to a different stylist. My sister over heard one stylist say to ours that she shouldn't work so hard to fix anything becuase it was a free haircut. (The woman apparently didn't think my sister could understand Spanish.) We STILL weren't happy with our haircuts--no thanks to that woman, I'm sure--and again we left a $5 tip.
I'm not a snob when it comes to free services; I'm in the camp that if you're not happy with something and it was free, then you got what you paid for. However, because they were associated with such a good cause, I thought the quality of the cut would be (at the very least) decent. They normally charge almost $20 for an adult cut. I'm cheap; I go to Champs for $15, and I leave there happy with my cut.
Unless you are a rugrat, or you know one that needs a cut, STAY AWAY FROM THE CARTOON CUTS AT THE MALL AT WELLINGTON GREEN!!! They do NOT know how to provide a decent hair cut to adults.
