Great Seafood alfredo 6/27/2008

I would definitely recommend this! Visited the Carriage House recently with a few old friends to do some catching up. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Not to mention our cocktails were unforgettable! We were not rushed, and we were there for a good number of hours. This place was definitely a great experience, and I would recommend it to everyone!"" wonderful place ,best food ever. 5/18/2008

We went to the Carriage House to celebrate my in-laws 42nd wedding anniversary. It was really beautiful inside (rustic type decor) with fantastic views of the lake and small town community. The food was great and the staff was very accommodating. We had two small children with our party of seventy and they were friendly and had things to keep them busy.). WIne list was great - . I would recommend it for a special occasion and just for ""regular"" meal. Pros: food food food price portion Cons: none to speak of,just a great restaurant more

setting the record straight 10/20/2007

I'm the owner of the Carriage House Cafe, the following review was written by an employee of one week who i let go for lying about a criminal record, as well as poor customer relations and attitude.There was Questions of theft but without actually seeing it, I will not go into it. So i apologize. Her name was Erica Marchetti and if you look at the user name she spelled her last name first and first name last, then she used a fake name in her review. This woman is a substance abuser trying blackmail or scam to get money for her next fix. Please read all the other reviews search for all the great write ups the Carriage House Cafe has and all the great things it has done for the community. Hello, my name is Ray Confer and I play live solo blues around Maine. Ive been playing at the Carriage House since the wintertime and I must say its my favorite gig in Maine. Its a great casual atmosphere, with excellent waitstaff. The owner/chef is Mike and he is good people, he makes the customers feel very welcome. I play blues music using a loop pedal that allows me to simulate a full band sound with a guitar and my feet. This must be seen to believe! What better place to see cutting edge solo music like this than a fine dining restauraunt that also has a deck that I play on from time to time. Com eon down and get wined and dined with the best food and service and live music in Maine."" Pros: excellent service and atmosphere Cons: small town around it more

Best food i have ever tasted 2/24/2007

From the outside we thought it might be a diner but then the inside was very elegant .We sat in the back room by the fireplace ,the waitress was great ,very pleasant and attentive.The menu had everything and the wine list was in creditable.The food was out of this world ,you could tell it was fresh,well worth the money . Pros: just a great place to go Cons: maybe to much service and food more

the owner was very helpful ,guilding us though every step to make my gram mothers 100th birthday a wonderful great time with outstanding service ,great food ,and elegant atmosphere.the staff went out of there way to make sure everthing was perfix. seated right away ,food took alittle while but worth the wait .there was twelve in the group and our food came out hot and at the same time ,.the place is beautiful ,the sevice very pleasant,but the food was out of this world and very reasonably priced Pros: everything just amazing Cons: new years alittle wait on the food ,but the place was packed,but well worth it more

everything was great ,alittle to much food and service,but is that a bad thing.it is just amazing to find such a restaurant in maine,even the chef comes out to make sure everything is to your liking,don't be fooled by the outside,be amazed by the inside,and not over priced for what you get Pros: everything,amazing more
