The carousel is a great attraction. It's fun for adults and children! Everything is gorgeous and handpainted and there is even a little gift shop in the building to purchase souveniers. All of the horses have different names and artists and the carousel goes really fast so it's even fun for an adult! It's also situated in the middle of uptown missoula so you can head over to McKenzie River Pizza for some lunch and check out the little shops along the main street. It's a great idea for a babysitter to take the kids out or even to bring family to when they come in from out of town! more

Best Carousel you will ever visit! 8/10/2005

The Carousel for Missoula is one of my favorite attractions! The horses are all hand-painted, the music comes from a real organ, and it is so much fun for young and old alike! All of the horses have names, and it actually goes quite fast. During the ride, you pass a dragon with rings, and you grab one as you go by. Whoever gets the gold ring gets a free ride! The gift shop is also wonderful and kids absoutely love the dragon park next door as well. Just a fun, beautiful carousel. You can't miss it if you visit Missoula. more

Ride the Carousel 8/5/2005

This Carousel locatted downtown Missoula is the perfect attraction for the young and old. The detail alone for each carousel horse is amazing, it is apparent with just one glance the workmanship and love that went in to this beautiful old-time carousel. When the family completes a ride on the carousel, don't forget to browse the gift shop and head out to Dragon's Hollow next door for fun in the sun! more

What fun even for adults! 7/14/2005

What a cool little place up in the moutains of Montana. This merry-go-round is one of the oldest in the country, and all the horses on there are handmade right there in the little park. It is so old that they have this dragon with a mouth that spits out these rings, and when you go around on the carousel, you try to grab a ring from the dragon's mouth and if you get a certain one, you get a peice of candy! I went when I was twelve and loved it! My dad even rode it a few times too. I believe that it's one of the fastest carousels in the country too. If you're in Missoula, you must see this! more
