Carmel baptist church is the worst church in Charlotte. they receive just rich people.

I started attending Carmel Baptist 19 years ago when I was left as a single mom with 2 toddlers to raise alone. They accepted me and my children. Never made me feel uncomfortable about where I was in life or about how poor I was. I was never asked about money. They supported and loved us. My children attended many functions that the church provided. My wish and prayer is for others to have the same experience. more

Christ-centered, loving church! 3/11/2011

We have been members of Carmel Baptist for over 10 years and love this church! The pastor and staff are above reproach. From the nursery to the pulpit, all teaching is solid, Bible-based, and filled with the grace and love of Jesus Christ. The entire pastoral staff is genuine in their faith and friendship. They serve as wonderful role models for our children. Carmel has a heart for worldwide missions as well as faithfully tending to the needs of its church body. We are so blessed to be a part of this loving family. BTW, there is no such person or postion as an associate pastor at this church.\r more

Our family moved to Charlotte from the Midwest in 1999 and began to search for a church home. From the moment I walked on to the campus I knew that this was the right place. There is a very strong presence of the Holy Spirit at Carmel. The teaching is Biblically sound, whether you are listening in the sanctuary, preschool, children's area, youth or in adult Sunday Bible Study. We are challenged weekly to not only know the scripture, but to apply it personally, so that our life will actively reflect Jesus to those around us who so desperately need to know his love and forgiveness. Carmel is also a church that serves our local community. A perfect example is our upcoming ""Joy Prom"". Highly recommended! more

A Blessing to my family!!! 3/11/2011

My husband and children discovered this wonderful church when we moved to Charlotte. The Pastors teach Gods word and challenge us to follow and have a personal relationship with Christ in our lives each day...not just on Sunday. The purpose of our church is to ""Worship, Connect, Grow, Serve and Tell"". I feel like the people of this church are special and exceptionally caring and giving. My entire family is out of state and I love this church body and the pastors who lead...just like they are my family. I have heard many say ""this place feels like a family"" and it does. If you have children of any age the programs that are offered are incredible and the adult Bible classes (ie Sunday School) have great teachers...this is where you will really get to know people!\r I HIGHLY recommend this church...It is one of the greatest blessings of my life!\r Also...not sure what the negative reviews mean since we dont have associate pastors. more

I am very disapointed with Carmel Baptist Church 10/15/2010

The pastor of this church does not follow Matthew 5;23""Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. 25""Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison. 26I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.[d] more

  • Carmel Baptist Church, established in 1964, promotes its mission through worship, education and service. The church offers Sunday worship services, and programs for preschoolers, children, youth, single and married adults and the elderly. Its community sports outreach ministry offers various athletic programs for boys and girls from grades kindergarten through six, including basketball and cheerleading. The church s counseling center provides different types of services, including assessment and referral, individual counseling, support therapy groups, and marital and family counseling for issues, such as depression, sexual dysfunction, grief and loss, financial problems, stress, anxiety and panic. It also governs Carmel's WEE School and Carmel Christian School that provides education for preschoolers. The church s Web site provides video overview of its ministries.
