The Scene
The restaurant sits in the middle of a residential neighborhood, a pleasant alternative to an area dominated by bars and pizza joints. Inside the small dining room, subtle color contrasts ease the eye and diners enjoy the unexpected luxury of sitting in oversized chairs on casters. It's easy to overlook fine dining this far off the beaten path, but the food merits the expedition.
The Food
Chef-owner Antoinette Colucci offers the mainstream prime rib and steak old-time Schenectady prefers, but also offers gourmet specialties like beef Wellington and an imaginative selection of chicken, pork, seafood, and vegetarian entrees. The flaming feta dish is served with pungent garlic toast to really wake up the palate. A full bar complements the cuisine.
Dish to Die For
Taste the tender, well-marbled Carlton Delmonico.
