Terrific and Friendly Service 11/1/2008

We ate at Carlos on Halloween night. Our first impression was the bowl of candy and Carlos and all the wait staff taking time to talk to the neighborhood kids while they came in trick or treating from the Highland Park neighborhood. At first that seemed strange for a fancy French restaurant but by the end of the evening we realized it was just how Carlos is. They pay great attention to service and detail and the room is beautiful but you are treated like a guest in a home of an old friend. First class dining experience 7/8/2007

This was our third time to Carlos in the last two years and it is better everytime we go. The menu was seasonly different each visit including items I havent even heard of before but left me wanting more of all of it. The lamb was to die for and I have never seen a wine list even close to as good. I didnt even know service could be taken to this level. If you use the washroom you come back to a creativly tied napkin in the shapes of roses, ducks and even a tuxedo once. Carlos is always there to greet you, make you feel welcome and monitor the quality of your entire dining experience. We definatly cant affor to go there all the time but every very special occasion you will find me and my family there. Look forward to going back! Pros: Service, quality of food more

WOW! 9/7/2003

I have been to Carlos three times this year and every time I have had the best service and food. The biggest thing I like here is that you feel welcome, the staff smile, anticipate your needs and are very attentive. The food is incredible and Carlos walked table to table throughout the evening checking quality and if the people were happy. A wonderful romantic evening every time. Pros: Food, decor, staff Cons: None for me more

chef ramiro is the best in the city 12/15/2002

Carlos consistently provides a world-class dining experience. Creative, flavorful dishes, flawlessly prepared, changing with the seasons. The menu includes ""sure hit"" favorites, plus an endless supply of equally wonderful new dishes from Carlos' great kitchen staff. Out front, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, with genuine smiles greeting every patron. Black tie or ""no tie"" is right at home.
