Once we sat down and signed a contract, that is when they started the switch. The changes and agreements for the contract that we both parties signed were on the plans we red lined,salesman never copied nor did we ever get to see again. Any notes in the contract that refer to drawings for details were they always disputed. Salesman who had the plans left the company and then came back after pool was complete. They would lie to your face about details even though they were on the plans submitted to county just to save a buck. more

Great sales presentation and quality plan. Once you are into working with the company the headaches are fast and furious. Our pool took over 5 months to rebuild with materials being ordered wrong and work delays. The concrete around the pool started to crack with a month and we were told that would would have to deal with the sub contractor on that. Salesman talked a great game, made wonderful promises, set deadlines, said not to worry--all that was just to make the sale. Carefree installed a new pool/spa, but promises and price were all broken. Always had excuses for why they couldn't stick to the schedule, why they needed to charge more. If they promise you a pool in 6-8 weeks, expect 6-8 months. If they promise you a price of say, $30,000, expect to pay $5000 more in change orders. They come out dig a hole in your yard, then don't come back for weeks. Then they'll install something small and not be seen for a few weeks. You'll have to call and call, your messages won't be returned, they'll treat you like you're a bother and a pain to them, rather than a paying customer. Then they'll say they need extra money for this and that. An absolute nightmare! They gave us a 1 year warranty, but I couldn't get anyone to come out to look at the pool within that year. I kept calling and calling, and was told someone would come out, but they let the warranty expire and we never got service.
