Let me just put it this way Robert Schaefer puts his own reviews on himself WOW this Company, this man is a joke of a Business Man, How can the Owner be on a job slurring his words & communicating with him was “Impossible” he only knows how to sell & knows nothing about Construction! Our work was behind, Problems with the City, Quality or Lack of Quality, he didn’t finish the job and had the nerve to ask us for the balance and then extra $ See you in Court Mr Schaefer ! more

Hire Robert Schaferif you want a lein against your home 4/30/2018

Robert Schaefer hired my company to remediate a flood damaged condominium. The scope of work included emergency and scheduled service calls, contents removal and storage, equipment rental, and structure dry down. Bob or Robert Schaefer of Cardinal Construction Corp has a balance due of over $4500. Mr. Schaefer confirmed that he received the insurance pay out from the customer. He then chose to not pay his contractors. A google search will show you that I am not the only service professional Robert Schaefer of Cardinal Construction Corp has stolen from. He is your man if you want a lien on your home. more

Robert Schaefer/Bob Schaefer has taken so many Customers $ NOT Done/Completed Work, Paid Subcontractors and ran to Florida but has opened up Cardinal Construction LLC Advertising in West Chicago IL & Geneva IL when he's living in Florida. BIUYER BEWARE DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! SUBCONTRACTORS BEWARE AS I LEARNED THE HARD WAY AS A SUBCONTRACTOR & Had to Lien Customer House more

Strong Commitment & Excellent Communication & Work Completed 2/11/2015

I had 4 different estimates for a Room Addition., they weren't the Cheapest but not the most Expensive. They have an in house Architect who was wonderful to work with & didn't charge me $$$, the work Schedule was Met in the Phases ON TIME if there was an issue that came up the Communication was wonderful and My Home Addition turned out "Beautiful" ! Thank You Cardinal Construction Corp & it was a PLEASURE to work with you !! more

Worse comany to deal with 11/24/2014

So the president of the company puts in two rather bias reviews . Cardinal did not cooperate with the village at all according to their records they did not adhere to two major codes which is causing me to go file variances. They apparently do not know how to quote a job as there were multiple request for overages and what is worse they NEVER Completed the job leavin the homeowner to pay out of pocket to complete the work and satisfied the village more
