Captain's Anchorage 12/16/2010

What a great prime rib you will find at this long standing restaurant in Big Bear. It was cooked just as ordered and served nice and hot. Their salad bar is complete with everything you would want and the service was both friendly and very personable. The ambience is old Big Bear and you will find those dining there having a good time. more

Wonderful Place 12/15/2010

We didn't have a reservation but we were seated in 10 minutes. The place has a really fun mountain feel and the old photos are really interesting. We shared a beef and a salmon dish and both were excellent. more

The atmosphere is relaxing and of course, there are the stories of George the ""ghost"". For the ""old timers"" the memoribilia of Andy Divine is interesting. more

Cons: overpriced food, overcooked more
