tasty food and great music 7/27/2009

After reading all these good reviews , we wanted to try this place. I can say that we were not despointed at all. The pasta was aldente and the chicken was very tender. My girl had a veal and she liked it alot. As far as the dessert our waiter recomanded the Tirimesu which was awsome, the best I ever had.they told us that it was homemade. we for sure will come back agian. Pros: 5 star food more

Tasteless food and stinky place 6/29/2009

My wife and I went there for our anniversary and we are just disapointed from start to end. I had to return the stale bread the waiter put on our table and ask for fresh ones. My wife's caciatore was tasteless but could not return it because she was afraid the cook would do something nasty to it. They did not have good dessert selections. The place smelled like sewer. The only good thing was our cheap red wine and our waiter was very nice. Pros: Cheap wine and good wait staff Cons: Food is tasteless more

excellent food 5/27/2009

Wonderful dense bread, food is excellent. I took my girlfriend there on Sat. nite looked like a big party just left. The restaurant in pretty big so no wonder they had a big party. Anyway back to the food , I had the veal caccatori and my girlfriend had the salmon di Avioli . we both were very impressed by the food. For sure I recommand this restaurant. great restaurant for families 5/5/2009

After reading reviews about this place and driving by a few times I thought I'd give it a try. Needless to say I was very impressed. The decor is simple and very mom and pop but the staff is wonderful. They are very friendly and treat you as if you've been coming there for years. I loved how attentive they were to all my lunch time needs. My co-worker and I tried the calamari appetizer which was great, the marinara sauce that accompanied the dish was so fresh and delicious my mouth is watering as I type this. For my entree I chose the linguini with bolognese sauce. I can't even put into words how good the sauce was! I'm a big fan of the creamy tomatoe sauce and this dish really pleased my appetite. I would definitely be coming back whenever I have a craving for Italian food. 2 thumbs up!!! Pros: good food, good food and good food more

professional servers & the food amaizing 5/3/2009

I must take time to write this review which is the least i can do as a thank you for the wonderful service & great food, yuo know ? there are restaurants where you go and think it was a good experience but the Capone's is by far a lot more than that, they have friendly yet professional servers & the food amaizing, my uncle is a very difficult person to convince of a good restaurant, but he said he would definetely come back to the Capone's restaurant & recommend it to friends & family Pros: good food, fair price more

no wonder buisness is bad, this place doesn't have a chef, only a COOK!! Even calling Hamid cook is an overstatement and a promotion!!lllol...I'm sure all the good reviews here are from him self and his staff(poor people don't have a choice.. He makes them write the reviews) I totally agree that Hamid should stick too hummus and couscous. Well said, I couldn't have said it better my self!! We had an big event there and he udercooked and overcharged... PEOPLE save your money. Give it away, but don't try this!! you'll loose your aperite and be disgusted with food for a long time.... more

we just love this place 4/24/2009

Our family is in absolute LOVE with Capones. Everything we have ordered from Pizza to Pasta and Salad to their homemade Tiramisu is positively divine. The staff is very friendly and always full of smiles. I highly recommend capones to everyone and anyone who is just looking to have awesome food and good beer in a relax in a homey atmosphere. me and my family are going to Capones often. And we order their ravioli pasto and farfalle o'sole mio. This is a graet place if you want a family gathering and big patry. The food and staff are wonderful. we just love. Pros: we just love this place more

Not a good restaurant 4/24/2009

""I wanted to try this new Italian restaurant for my birthday, we went there for dinner. the food was not authentic at all, dishes were dirty and I saw ruches in the restrooms, this was a horrible experience on my birthday, I'm lucky my friends were with me and we had a good laugh, we paid for what we had and didn't have and we told them we never be back. OLD MUSHROOMS 4/23/2009

We ordered dinner and we had a complaint about our food. Chef Henry came to our table with his grumpy face and we looked at his dirty chef coat and his dirty hands, and right away we knew we could not expect much from him and his restaurant. So we packed the food for our dogs, and our dogs had WATERY BOWEL MOVEMENT NON-STOP for a couple of days! We brought them to the vet and the vet confirmed that they had something bad to eat. If you care about your health and your pocketbook, this is not the place for you. And to ""Chef Henry"", I want to say, do like what the Capone's in Anaheim did and close it down. YOU DO NOT HAVE IT IN YOU!! Pros: Nothing Cons: EVERYTHING! more

This place have agood food since the new ownership has taken over I have to say I am very impressed , the place is a real nice, very clean inside especially the dinning area.I went there with my family who came from chicago to visit,I was really impressed,the ravioli was cooked to prefection,when they put on our table,the salmon was fresh,it smelled really good,we stayed to the end .and we will be going back there,there are a lot of great restaurants in the area,this is abselutly one of them Pros: good food, good food and good food more

This place used to have good food a couple of years ago but since the new ownership has taken over I have to say I am very dissaponted , the place is a real mess, very dirthy inside especially the restrooms.I went there with my family who came from chicago to visit,I was really embaressed,the ravioli was frozen when put on our table,the salmon was not edible,it smelled relly bad,we left half way through our meal.and we will not be going back there,there are a lot of great restaurants in the area,this is not one of them more

I love the food here 4/23/2009

Me and my familiy went there for the first time. We just left with a smil on our face. they do not charge you for kids. Kids eat free. The food was really good and cooked as soon as you order. the waiter was busy last night since they had a big party. that is the only reason I give four star. otherwise everything was great.by the way if you go there do not ask for ranch dressing for your salad, try their homemade italian dressing.it's wonderful. we just got home from Capones . I can only say that Capones and staff did a great job for our son's birthday party. Great service and very tasty food. We had a buffet style dinner which was planty of food and fair to our budget. we got a lots of compliment from our guests. Pros: excellent food. fresh bread more

This is bad! 4/22/2009

My friend and I came for lunch because they offered lunch deals from $5.99. I thought I cannot ask much for that price. I was mistaken. The bolognese tasted ok, but the spaghetti was not drained well enough that it made the dish watery. We got stale bread and the glass of water I had was cloudy and smelled funny. My friend had manicotti ""soup"" because there was so much watery sauce. Our salads had wilted and old lettuce, the dressing was too garlicky I was embarassed for my breath afterwards. Pros: nice neighborhood Cons: tasteless food and bad service more

This place is a joke,who ever is the owner,don't know jack sh..about restaurant business,I feel very sorry for him.I go in there,no one is there,no hostess,i ordered 2 pasta dishes and a pizza for take out,60$.can you belive it,I come home and I see the pasta has spilled into the plastic bag and they forgot the mushrooms on the pizza,with just a little bit of cheese,(I asked for extra cheese),I called back to complain,they said it was my fault that the food spilled in my car,fine I said,what about the pizza? the owner said I never ordered mushroom and extra cheese and if I don't like it I can go to Mcdonalds, very rude staff,very unprofessional,one of the worst experiences I had in years,would not recommend this place at all.If It would let me I would give it 0 star more

No brain 4/22/2009

I like the rolls ,my first time at capone's since they opened, I used to go to anaheim hills, I wanted to give this one a try,I don't think the chef is italian or has ever been to italy,the pasta was watery, it had no flavor,the place was really dirthy,the service was ok,but I would not go back there,cause there are a lot of good italian restaurants in brea and fullerton.overall it gets 1 star from me.
