This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. We've never had a bad meal there (the pizza is especially good), and one of the best happy hours around. more

Family came in from ca and reviews were good so we heard. Terrible service. Terrible food. Terrible experience. Rude waitress. Overcooked food. Undercooked food. Very disappointing and then the 30% added tip the waitress tried to kick in. Will NEVER go again! more

I have heard so many great things, only to find myself with a disappointing first impression when the pizza man served up a partially raw pizza with missing ingredients. I didnt complain although $12 is pretty steep for an undercooked medium sized oval.. the people that referred me weren't familiar with the man I described, so for the sake of the quality of their products, maybe Capones should reconsider their desicion on their new hires. Until then I'm driving to Villa Rose, I'll take distance over disappointment. more

Not the best deep dish I've ever had, but the best you can get around here. more

After we decided Le Tub belonged in the toliet... we wandered next store to Capone's; so happy we did! Being from Chicago, we felt right at home. Great atmosphere, loved the inter-coastal seating and the hand-tossed pizza is something that will keep me coming back! more

WOW!!!!!!!\r So dissapointing, I've been going to Capones for as long as i can remember, and the past 4 times (over the last year, year and a half) have been PATHETIC!!!!! Some small part of me wants it to be good again, like it used to be, but the bigger part now knows that will never happen. You can tell the owners have no idea how there business is being ran, the service is laughable, when asked for a cheesesteak with no onions a waitress once told our table that "the cooks are in a bad mood, cant you just pick them out". The waitresses all have that fresh out of the trailerpark, hollyweird, what time does the pharmacy close thing, goin on, like the customers are inconvienienceing them by wanting to order food. There's no such thing as a manager, not vissibly anyway. They believe in the "let the innmates run the prison" management style. The food is mediocre at best, and designed to produce profit, not taste good, or even look good. The outside window that looks into the kitchen, gives you a quiet warning of cross contamination, with non refrigerated cheese for all to see, and an oven that hasnt been cleaned since they opened (the 70's). Ive also heard they're a food poison factory (reference to other post). In all fairness, the deck outside offers a abit of atmosphere when its not overrun with obnoxious French Canadians. Maybe thats why the service is so bad......HMMMMMMMMM???\r \r Hey Capones!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Mrs. Capone sees this, and cleans house, Take pride in your business, or hire somone that does, it's the least you can do with your name on the door. more

We called to order a pizza for delivery at 5:30. At 7:10 we called back to check on the delivery of the pizza only to be told they would not be delivering our pizza because we were too far away! However, when we called to order our pizza it would be deliverer by 6:45pm. They had our telephone number and they never bothered to call us to let us know they wouldn't be delivering it. The person that took the order was a complete moron and should not be allowed to answer the phone! Do yourself a favor and go to Pizza Bianco!!! more

These people think they have an in with the mob, somewhere in the world. LOL. Went with a friend for a pizza and a beer last night. The person I was with, a local, jokingly commented on the bartenders (male) new haircut. Totally, no big deal. The guys head was shaved. That's it. The guy snapped. Rag queen. Started screaming at my friend, get the F"""" out. I said, whoa, what's the deal? We hadn't even had a bite of our pizza. The female bartender (ASHLEY - I was told) picked up my purse and threw it across the room because for some reason my inquires about "what is the problem"?. "What's the deal?" ended up making her angry because the male bartender was feeding her. You could see it in their faces. Rage. Yikes. My stuff flew all over the floor (lipstick, tampons, wallet, change). Adults and their poor kids were scared and staring with their mouths open in disbelief. This is not the first time I have seen the workers here walk all over the customers. It was just my first time as their victim. The management allows this to happen as it is a common occurrence. I once sat on the deck when my daughter was a little one and the family next to us waited over an hour for their food. They asked for the manager and he came out and let them have it. It was just unbelievable. I defended them at them time because I had also waited for an hour with my family. RUDE!!! Don't even bother. Rocco's on Johnson, right down the road has excellent customer service and the best pizza on the beach. Too bad about Flickerlite because it's a nice spot on the intracoastal. Not worth the hassle. I've been coming to this area for over 40 years from Boston. Don't know why I keep giving them another chance.\r I refused to sign the bill and said, please call the police. I want them here, now. Get them here now. I said it several times..... They DID NOT call the cops because they knew they were wrong. Really, can't believe they are still in business. Obviously just a cover for washing of one kind or another. Total wanna be's. Go to Trip Advisor and see how many reviews blow mine out of the water. I have no interest in any FL property or neighboring competition. Just a simple tourist (for 47 years) and feel like an ass for just crossing the street for another time. I will never take my 12 year old into this dangerous restaurant/bar. Dirty, nasty people. NOT FOR CHILDREN. more

Just wanted to make you aware, last night (08/24/11) my family and I dined at your restaurant "Capone's Flicker Lite" by the Beach. We used the valet to park, I noticed that items in the console of my car had been gone through and money was removed. \r \r Although a small amount, if this happened to me, I know it is happening to others.\r \r Rafael Rivera more

Our family stays at the Hollywood Beach Tower every year! Thsi year, we wanted to try something different and Capone's came highly recommended:) The wait time a little long..about an hour and the pizza was a little warm, not piping hot...Nonetheless, it was very good:) The kids devoured the cheese pizza and the adults ordered a margarita pizza and fried mushrooms...We will definitely be ordering again:) more

Very low key local bar with a surprisingly large menu and good food. Average pricing, small town bar atmosphere, a few big screens above bar for sports fans, noticed a lot of locals go here when they get off work from the other restaurants and eateries on Hollywood Beach. more

I'm at capones to eat 5 days a week. I live near by and my roommate works there. I've tried almost half the menu and everything except the Pizza is amazing. Service a little slow but the hot hostess and bartender trish make it worth the wait. Highly reccomend clam chowder, chef salad w vinagaerette, mahi mahi sandwich, fried shrimp, wings, and I'll be trying the stromboli soon. The manager richard is a punk so make fun of his ponytail! more

Per a recommendation from my boss, we went here to celebrate an award my section received for outstanding work. The criteria for us picking this place was it had to be a dive with drink specials and great food. So when my boss mentioned Chicago Style Pizza I gladly voted to give this place a try. \r \r I walked in and the restaurant/bar it looked pretty cool with it's Chicago themed signs on the wall. The bathrooms were clean but dirty, if you know what I mean, so the dive bar issue was covered. \r \r We had two servers and both of them were very pleasant. They had beer and well drink specials all reasonably priced. Another check mark. \r \r My group ordered Mozzarella sticks and three pizzas. The mozzarella sticks looked more like big chucks of fried cheese. My buddy said they were pretty good. All three pizzas were regular style not Chicago. They looked good, but no one mentioned if they tasted good. I really wasn't paying attention because I had already decided that I was getting some Chicago deep dish pizza to take home to the family. I ordered one large Chicago Deep Dish with the sauce on the bottom with mushrooms and sausage and One medium Chicago Deep Dish with sauce on the bottom with pepperoni. They delivered my pies and they looked great. I said my good byes to my remaining colleagues and I started the long trek home and trust me its a long drive from Hollywood Beach to West Coral Springs. \r \r When I got home my son was so excited because he loves Unos Pizzeria. He dove right in and said it was pretty good. I took a bite of my pizza and the first thing I noticed it was missing the sausage and mushrooms. Man I was pissed. After driving all that way and having a good time to have them screw my order up really sucked. My anger must have effected my taste buds because I really wasn't impressed with the pizza. The crust seemed to doughy and the sauce was to sweet. I didn't like it. \r \r When I went to work the next day I asked the guys if they like the pizza and they all replied no. Three guys who had been to this place before said the pizza wasn't as good as they had years ago. \r \r Hmmmmmm Remember to tell them that Dan sent you for everything except the pizza. Stay Hungry! more

I love the pizza in this place. directly on the intracoatal, loud rock music, colorful locals and tourists alike. not for the shy or retiring types. open late with good drinks too more

This local hangout is notorious for its owners being related to those in the Italian Mafia(or so they'd like to believe). The only nice thing about this place is that they serve pizza on the intracostal. more

It's Time to say Goodbye 3/20/2008

I have lived in Hollywood since 1994 and have been going to Capone's Flicker Lite since I first discoved the Chicago style pizza that couldn't be matched. UNFORTUNATELY the Flicker Lite I went to at least twice a month is gone. My last 5 visits included the always impossible parking problem, horrible service from staff that make me feel like I'm bothering them and, the saddest of all, inconsistant pizzas. My last straw was the burnt (no question about it - not overcooked - BURNT) pizza they had the nerve to serve me. My boyfriend insisted that I give them one more chance after all these years so I did. I picked up a pie yesterday and - sorry, another let down. Only one of the guys makes an edible pizza anymore and I shouldn't have to find out if he's working before I go (last time I called they wouldn't tell me anyway). It's so sad to say goodbye but I will never go again. Pros: Watch Chicago teams on the TV's Cons: Parking and Pies more
