Expect to see a large scale musical here. The space was built for spectacle. The seats are comfortable, there are great sight lines & acoustics, and there is just so much space...in fact, it is the largest Broadway house (unless you count City Center & the New York State Theatre).
The Gershwin has been home to some of the big guys (WICKED, MAME, ANNIE, MY FAIR LADY, OKLAHOMA), but it is not just a theater venue. It is also home to the Theatre Hall of Fame - look for your favorites among the names on the wall of the southern rotunda.
