My wife and I own 3 vehicles and we have been bringing our vehicles here for 10 years. This mechanic was recommended by my father. Our previous mechanic would charge us $500 minimim everytime we brought our vehicles in for any type of service. They are honest people and the charges are very reasonable. I've been bringing my family's cars to Campbell Auto Electric for over seven years, since I moved back to West Haven. The mechanic I'd trusted moved from his shop in my old town to this shop, so I followed him. However, when he left, I stuck with this service center (with an emphasis on SERVICE).\r \r They tell me what's wrong with my car, and are not condescending if I don't know what I'm talking about. Women aren't always treated properly at garages, and it's well known that they may be charged more than men, based solely on our gender. I've never felt that I was being cheated or overcharged. They will look for rebuilt parts if one asks. Once, they found a problem faster than they'd anticipated, and charged me LESS than they had quoted; have you ever heard of such a thing?\r \r I'm lucky enough that one of the mechanics lives on my street, so I've had great luck when I've needed a tow at home; they never get lost. ok, I admit. As a woman it used to be intimidating to bring my car in for service. I'm glad to have found a place that I am confident in the work that is done and the prices I am charged!! \r \r One example - After being serviced at the dealership (and bringing it back and told all was well) I was still not satisfied with the way the car was running - Campbell Auto Electric quickly found the very obvious mistake and quickly took care of it for me. more

I am a foreign national, honest hardworking individual. I went to this garage, expecting that they would help me. Instead i was treated with utmost disrespect, i was shouted against. The guy literally shouted at me, for asking him what he plans to do. He told me to stay away from my car, when i was watching him coz it was right out side. and In the end i was charged more than $200 for a 1 hr job of diagnosis, which wasnt even fixed. I would compare my feelings as next to being RAPED. The guy doesnot deserve to exist in the market for mistreating customers. I thought American Service is definitely better than this. I must say i am dissapointed, Im definitely never giving local redneck mechanics another chance to get me like this. IF you want to do something better with your car, take it to a nicer place. this man is a crook.\r \r HE threatened me when i asked for a discount. I brought my car there when my power stering went. My husband fixed it and need them to tighten something that needed a special tool. I brought it right ion and within 10 to 15 mions it was fixed. and hardly charged me much. thank you A++++++ more

this company was great to work with. they fixed an electrical problem in my care in no time at all. They were frindly and curtious and I feltthey did a great job. They didnt make me wait for days to find out the problem. They called me within a few hours and fixed it quick., I would highly recommend this garage. they do a great job! more

They took my car and called and told me exactly what they were to do and how much without riping me off. they call when it was ready and it didnt take days like some place.they are easy to get along with and great job more
