I grew up attending church camp and music camp at Camp Swoneky, and those were some of the best years of my life. I worked there in summers as a teenager and had the privilege of doing some fundraising for them. I also had my wedding at the camp, and everything was beautiful. There is currently some construction going on to renovate and replace many of the older cabins, but when they are finished it will look even better. The new lodges are for year-round use, and the facilities are pretty good. They have a nice pool, a pond for fishing/boating, recreation fields/courts, horses, and lots of woods for hiking and exploring.
Oh and SWONEKY stands for SouthWest Ohio and NorthEast KentuckY. And it's pronounced Swah-neck-ee
