We've been going to Calypso since they first opened and continue to come back whenever we can. We've eaten all over, try many new places, travel extensively, collect cookbooks, and cook. We STILL think of Calypso as a favorite -- we bring new and old friends there -- and feel like family. You will too, whether it's your first time or your twentieth. Chuck and Laura make you feel at home. Some of our favorite dishes include the fried shrimp appetizer, the teriyaki wings, stamp and go, conch fritters, key lime chicken soup, calabaza soup with shrimp (any of their soups of the day usually are a good bet), half chilled lobster stuffed with conch salad -- when in season, portabella mushrooms stuffed with crab, etc etc. Oh yeah -- even their burgers are good.My husband's favorite desert (these are all homemade) is the extra (double? triple?)coconut cream pie. Check out their specials board as new things and fresh fish are added seasonally.
