I was referred to this place by Mission Animal Hosp because my Jack Russell was suddenly paralysed in both her back legs. They told me her spine was damaged & only an operation could save her. It was to start with an MRI costing $1,000. Total costs would come out to be almost $9,000!!!! WTH! Oh & if my dog died during surgery, tough luck!\r

This place is a complete rip off, they couldn`t care less about the animals taken there. Someone told me they paid over a million bucks for the new MRI machine they have & they want to re-coup that back asap. I was also told they regularly say a dog needs a spinal op at a cost of around $9,000. each. I was also told on the day I went they had 3 dogs coming in for the same op. Thats $27,000 in one morning!!!\r

I got the feeling I was being ripped off & told them to forget it. Give me my dog so I could leave. I wondered why the place was so opulent & plush looking inside. I called a friend who told me to go & see Dr Kang in Oceanside. OMG, one single injection, a course of tablets & a few sessions of acupuncture & my dog was completely back to her normal self!! Total cost $500. Dr Kang is absolutely brillaint, great staff too. Very basic surgery, no opulence, just excellence. I now live in Seal Beach, but if I need a Vet, I`m driving to Oceanside to see Dr Kang. He is in a word Magnificent!
